    Suppressors Pro 9 or G34

Re: Pro 9 or G34 Everyone has their own opinion or own favorite gun. They are both great pistols, but YOU need to check out and try to shoot both to see what gun fits you best. It's all about hand ergonomics when comparing two equally durable and reliable pistols, IMO. My hand fits the...

Re: Why do you like glock? I love Glocks! 1.Fit my hand VERY well, and that allows the pistol to point naturally. YMMV. 2.Stone cold reliable for 28 years-Nuff said 3.Weight (or lack thereof) 4.Polymer and tennifer-Down right durable and won't rust (Great for someone with sweaty palms like...

Re: F*ck the 1911 pistol and its awesomeness *facepalm* Another Glock vs. 1911 pissing match. They are both fantastic handguns, and are both completely different. They both go bang and are fun to shoot...what does it really matter, folks? I love the glock because it is rock solid dependable...

Suppressors Picking up a 1911, how to deal with the costs

Re: F*ck the 1911 pistol and its awesomeness Yep, Reload for that bad boy and you'll have a ball (230 grain ball, that is.) The Springfield GI is a fine pistol. I left mine as is instead of upgrading, and saved for another. It's cool to have a replica of an old war horse.

Re: Handgun overpenetration. I ND'ed a .40 into a concrete slab wall two years ago. Punched a clean hole through the dry wall and disintegrated when it hit the concrete. Not even a chip from the impact. You won't be paying me money to do that again with ANY type of round.

    Possibly Joining the Armed Services

Re: Possibly Joining the Armed Services I'd look into ROTC programs, as mentioned above. They will pay for school, and you will be commissioned as an officer when you get out. I'm in the process of joing Army ROTC for my last two years of school. Whatever you may do, be absolutely sure to do...

    Knee problems and ROTC/MEPS

Re: Knee problems and ROTC/MEPS Burnsie, Thanks for the input. As long as the recovery goes well, I believe things will work out just fine. I do think it will take some time strength training to ensure it doesn't happen again, which is common with patellar dislocations/ligament injuries.

    Knee problems and ROTC/MEPS

Re: Knee problems and ROTC/MEPS Yes, The MEPS visit is just a pre-commission medical for ROTC. Alternate entry in this case means a non-scholarship, two year advanced program commission. Running and hiking give me no issues with me knees, but the patellar dislocation occurs with twisting...
