Re: Noveske Afghan The standard trigger is single stage. The SSA-E is two stage. Look in group buys, Cliff Decker had a Noveske group buy going and it saved money. I think it is over, but he has them occasionally. The Afghan is a very nice handling rifle.

Re: AR sights/scope Did you consider the Schmidt Bender Short Dot? I have one, it is really a dual use scope, red dot and 1.1 magnification up close, 4x and it will shoot out to 400 or so easily.

Re: Need small folder Look at the Spyderco Salt series, they are absolutely rustproof (per Spyderco and my experience) sharpen easily, decent edge holders. You can get it serrated.
