Re: tumbling loaded ammo? Over the years I have tumbled loaded ammo, both new and reloads, by accident. Sometimes for over 2 hrs. Never had any safety issues nor did I have any problem firing them at a later date. Still would not recommend, why take the chance. Just one man's experience.
Re: Jackets from brass Try the Corbins.com website. They have been selling the tools for making jackets from 22lr casings for a long time. They have a lot of info on the how-to. Hope that helps. enjoy!
Re: Reloading for the first time tomorrow... You might want to check the casings for length and trim if necessary, and chamfer the necks inside and out. And the last thing is.... your hooked! Once you start reloading you can't stop and you will always be improving your loads. Don't...

Re: Favorite Magazine? Winter Shooter, lots of good articles in Handloader but I'll tell you right now, handloading is addictive! I just tell everybody that it's therapy!
Re: Cleaning Lube off Cases? I have been getting away from my tumbler lately. Before I size, I have been using a mix of a small amount, less than a tablespoon of any detergent, and about a teaspoonful of lemishine in a cut down plastic gallon jug. Fill one third with hot water and let...
