I dont think it would make a good hunter at 12 lbs+ and 24-26 inches of length. Its more of a match gun even with the hybrid chassis.

I was wondering if the .308(16 inch-20inchers) has a shorter handguard compared to the 6.5 creedmoor. Reason is i want to get a short handguard version and put an 18 inch proof barrel on there in 6.5 creedmoor. I just dont think the 22 inch is short enough. Especially for the kind of bushwacking...

Youd probably be looking at a FX impact. They run for about 1800$ and have swapable AR-15 grip(comes with a hogue grip). Here is mine.
