Cadex Defence, flaunt it if you've got it!

Got me a .260 Cadex but no time to take it to the range.

Movie Theater "The Soviet Role in World War II - Antony Beevor"

It was AE's letter to FDR that got the Manhattan train going because of the scientists fear of German heavy water experiments. Fortunately, Hitler viewed and dismissed nuclear physics as "Jewish physics." His scientists and military kept it going unbeknownst to him. The fire bombings of Dresden...

"Tanks were incidental..." Whoa, where did you come up with that?

That was a very fine movie. I enjoyed and first learned of Vasily Zeitsev and his Mosin Nagant sniper rifle.

Imagine if the mass of Panther and Tiger tanks were available for the thrust into the Ardennes. Also as we know the Luftwaffe was spent and had no air support for the ground forces. A little deeper dig would be helpful in understanding the role of the Soviets.

The numbers simply don't add up. I detect a little xenophobia here, i.e. rah rah the Allies! Hard to admit the Ruskies were the deciding force in WWII. I suggest you read Stephen Ambrose and others. The Kursk battle was the greatest tank battle of all time.

No question but the Allies could hardly hold on in the Battle of the Bulge. I imagine a different outcome if the Russians had not removed the teeth of the Germans at Kursk. Remember they caused more than 75% of the German casualties.

The Soviet Union contributed more to the defeat of the Nazis than either the US or Great Britain. The Battle of Kursk was the deciding point and the first time the Germans had to retreat. 6000 tanks were engaged as best the numbers can be calculated. Soviet Soldiers killed more German soldiers...

    7mm RUM Barrel/chamber conundrum?

Thanks Steel head. I have little experience with Remington barrels. I know Tikka, Sako and HS Precision and maybe a couple Rugers over the years.

    7mm RUM Barrel/chamber conundrum?

Reloading some 7mm RUM brass for my son in law's Remington 700 Sendero. He has shot it maybe 250 times. The jump from the ogive to the lands from off the shelf ammunition is close to 0.200". Holy moly, could he have shot out his chamber? The off the shelf stuff is not particularly hot. Waiting...

    Bolt Gun and Gas Gun

If your bolt gun cannot out shoot the gas gun, I would replace it. Simple physics suggests the bolt should win. You have a heckuva gas gun!

Does brass case brand really matter?

I have shot some of the brass mentioned in this thread and like Lapua a lot for consistency. Mostly it is Hornady but I am reloading some 1X shot Nosler. I am impressed with its consistency as to size and weight. I'd buy more of it. Hornady is all over the page to segregation by weight. Lapua...
