Sounds like you're already pretty well read up on the subject. I would talk to your gunsmith about what you're looking to shoot and ask him for recommendations. They've likely seen every format you can think of and will know exactly how to satisfy your particular need. Good luck. I'm interested...

I've been shooting the 147 eld m exclusively and will be watching closely for the data to roll in for the 150 smk. Would like to shoot these in both 6.5cm and 6.5 SAUM. Both barrels are 8 twist so stability is my main concern. Team Area 419 had a post on their FB page with some pretty good info...

Will give this a shot. I will also probably try the o-ring trick on the shell holder and die.

I'm using a starrett digital micrometer with the Hornady comparator. I'm leaning towards it not being the measuring instruments since both the starrett and Redding dial are showing the same variation.
