I also have both and glass wise is very close. I like the turrets better on the beast(don't mind the size) and like the h2cmr that is in my pm2 better than any other reticle made. So really a wash for me but ID say slight edge to the bender. Yardage markers on parallax are totally pointless as...
Talked to a nightforce rep today and after consulting with one of their engineers he found the answer to the above question. The lever is linear, so if you move it 1/2 way, it is 1/2 of a .1 mil or .05 mils....1/4 over would be .025 mils, etc. Talk about a fine adjustment! That alone makes me...
I took my beast out to 1600 yds the other day in the hot Texas sun. Had my Schmidt 5-25 and a buds premier 5-25 to compare to the beast with. You'd be hard pressed to tell the difference if you didn't know the reticle. You won't be dissatisfied with it
One of the biggest factors for me when I look through a scope is whether or not I can get the image and reticle to both focus together perfectly. Some scopes I have owned just will not do this consistently no matter how much I screw with the parallax/diopter. I believe the parallax adjustment on...
Just got a beast and had a quick question. I was thinking that the +.01 mil lever clicked into place but it actually just slides over to an index mark. At what point in the movement of the lever does it make the .1 mil adjustment? In other words,....If you only move the lever halfway over what...
Because rotating twice is for bitches. I've got a beast heading my way. We'll see if the lever bugs me. I'm looking forward to checking out the scope. I've always felt my f1 was my toughest scope with the best clicks I ever felt. Damn, even the horses in Africa have bigger schlongs.
I'm sure this has been answered, but I'm seem to remember reading something about having to notify the ATF if you take your suppressor across state lines? I was wanting to take mine from Texas to a match in Florida. Driving.
I have been running the barnes 145 lrx in my 280ackley. They have been very accurate 1/2-3/4 moa. They make a 6.5 127gr lrx that you might want to check out.
If you are buying a 28" barrel to shoot elr with berger 230s you may also want to try and get a custom twist. 9.5 or 9.75 will stabilize 230s much better than a 10. A lot of the guys shooting 300 norma have gone to a faster twist for the heavies such as the 230s 240smk etc.
