New scope for a western hunt?

Not an elk expert here, I've only killed a handful, but the furthest of those was 375yds, and I've done most of my hunting in fairly open country in Wyoming. I like 2-10, 2.5-10, 2-12 type scopes for most of my hunting, mil reticle if possible, although a BCD type reticle can work well out to...

FRT's - What is good? And what is Rare Breeds real website?

Some folks have AR22s working with super safety's, they tend to be finicky. I haven't personally been able to get my RTB 9" upper running reliably but others have. Here are some parts and resources. https://greymarketresearch.net/ar22lr-kit/ https://borebuddy.com/product/ar22-super-safe-bundle/

FRT's - What is good? And what is Rare Breeds real website?

Yeah, I printed my first one with just the built in supports, but some of the overhangs were a little less smooth than I wanted, so printed my second and third with organic supports as well as the built in, mostly for aesthetics, worth a little extra plastic to me. Very nice, I love my K but am...

FRT's - What is good? And what is Rare Breeds real website?

It's worth giving a super safety a try, they tend to work well, and price of entry is low. Suppliers that are gtg: https://fuddarms.com/ https://deeznutztactical.com https://greymarketresearch.net https://activesafetydesigns.com/ https://www.z3pro.com/ Looks good, what did you print your...

    New 6mm Advanced Rifle Cartridge

My shortcut now for starting load development for a new upper or new bullets in the 95gr - 108gr range is to load up 5 each of 29.1gr, 29.3gr and 29.5grs of LVR... usually something in there shoots. I've been using Hornady and Starline brass, the capacity you posted for Alpha is pretty close to...

LaRue MBT is still an option at $115?

I like my MBT-2S triggers as is, but you've got me curious, going to have to order a few springs.

LaRue MBT is still an option at $115?

I suppose it's personal preference, but I really don't care for my Triggertech duty 2 stage, it feels heavier to me, especially on the second stage than my LaRue's. Of course I had the LaRue's first and more of them, but after a couple sessions I put the LaRue back in my favorite rifle and...

    New 6mm Advanced Rifle Cartridge

Finally got the parts painted up with Alumahyde and put together this weekend, and a Rexus Ultra bolt on the way. I will say the BFK upper was a bit too interference fit with my barrel, even freezing the barrel and lightly torching the receiver threads, the rubber mallet had to put in some work...

    New 6mm Advanced Rifle Cartridge

Yep, I run a CAT Noah Ti on my main 6 ARC and it's pretty great in that application for gas and suppression. My B&T RBS 762 also does well with the little ARC.

Suppressor Problem, Dead Air - Advice requested

I'm pathetically behind the times, mine is an original Nomad TI and a pre-Rokstock budget hotness Stockys VG.... Still need to get around to drafting up and printing out a cheek riser before my elk trip though, the Stockys is a bit lacking in that department.

Suppressor Problem, Dead Air - Advice requested

Using my E-brake on my OG Nomads noticeably reduced backpressure on gassers, at least for me.

Structure fire in Winfield KS, Powder Valley Outdoor Sports.

This obviously sucks, but I have to say I'm kind of impressed that that building is still standing.

So I'm seeing more and more short 308s in my neck of the woods seems odd

Woah fella, that may work for you and your high speed low drag needs, but some of us have a different standard. I need all 26 inches of my rifle barrels to squeeze that last 10 fps out of my .308 so I can hold my crosshair on fur, confident that when my Corelokt strikes home on that doe 100 yds...

    Subsonic big-bore loads

With cans and lever rifles getting more and more popular, I figured it might be a beneficial for those of us who have fallen down the big-bore subsonic rabbit hole to have a thread to discuss what's working for us powder, case prep and bullet wise. My particular poison is .44 subs out of a...

Suppressor Problem, Dead Air - Advice requested

Kind of makes you wonder if it's some sort of condensate running back into the barrel when the rifle is tipped up. I haven't seen this with my steel and TI nomads on 17" .280 ai, 18" .300 WSM, 19" 7mm PRC. If it were a short barrel thing I'd expect to have seen it with one of those. I am...
