    Shooting 6mm ARC through a 6.5mm or 6mm Suppressor?

My. 30 cal cans have worked pretty great on .223, 6 ARC, 6 GT, 6.5 Grendel, 6.5 CM, .280 AI, 7 PRC, .308, .30-06 and .300 WSM. If you're new to suppressors and want caliber specific cans you should get them, it might be a learning experience on why you keep getting the lovely .30 cal...

    Aero Solus bolt fluting?

I just saw the other day that Aero came out with two new versions of the Solus, the Obsidian and the Lightweight, both of which have fluted bolts. https://www.aeroprecisionusa.com/solus-short-action-obsidian-540-bolt-face...

    7mm PRC

It would be good to get this thread pinned in the reloading section as the 7PRC discussion thread. I wonder how to request that?

    Garmin Xero accessories only

Has anyone seen a .stl for an M-Lok mount for the Garmin anywhere? This case from Thingiverse turned out pretty well, FDM is great for this kind of light duty stuff, and I've got a lot M-Lok clad rifles floating around. https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:6399976 I blurred it out for the pic...

Going Away from 6 ARC Suppressed?

With a well setup rifle 6mm ARC has impressed me with how quiet it is suppressed. Maybe I'm just used to larger cartridges, but to me ARC is substantially quieter with a .30 cal can than most things I shoot, and my ARCs are the only rifles I've had folks come over at the range and ask what they...

    New 6mm Advanced Rifle Cartridge

An 8 twist might well work for 105gr hybrids or 108gr ELDs, I think I'd give it a try before throwing in the towel.

RL16 vs H4350 at today's prices... What would you buy?

I do love RL16, and switched to it from H4350 years ago. At this point though, I've been able to find good loads for most of my rifles with Staball 6.5, it's always available and gives velocities near RL16. Might be worth experimenting with a bit now that you have some more RL16 laid back for now.

    7mm PRC

I finally got my Tikka 300 WSM converted over with a 19" Carbon six 7mm PRC barrel and took it out for the first 20 or so shots. I shot some 180gr ELD Factory which turned out pretty slow, then shot spreads with 162gr ELDx, 168gr LRX and 175gr ELDx and Staball HD.

Muzzle Brakes poor form at the range?

It definitely sucks to shoot next to a braked rifle compared with suppressed or bare muzzles, especially when it's something larger than one of the wee 6mms. Wouldn't have thrown a fit, but the range always gets better when the brake shooters pack up for the day and leave.

    .224 62gr ELD-VT Reports?

Curious because they are supposed to open up so fast, but is the bigger hole entry or exit?

    16-18 inch shorty rifles

Finally got around to installing my new barrel and stock on this action to get it to it's final-ish form. I'm probably going to sponge or pattern spray the stock with some alumahyde paint I have, and install an aluminum bottom metal at some point. Also I had to go with high rings with the WSM...

Going Away from 6 ARC Suppressed?

I remember when WC finally came out with their ARC barrels at long last and immediately tripped over their own dicks with the gas system. I had been waiting on one because lightweight factory ARC barrels were hard to come by at the time and I was pretty happy with my LW WC Grendel. They...

    Burris XTR Pro 🇺🇸

Ruger SFAR small frame 308, 6.8 pounds

I think I'd call Ruger up about that, definitely not normal and probably won't stop. I had similar strange wear on the ejection port of my PC Carbine when new. Sent it back and it hasn't occurred since the repair.

Rifle Scopes What's the REAL story on SWFA?

I'd be very happy with with a version of the 3-9 with capped or locking turrets (would be ok if the elevation wasn't locking, but had a ZS). I'd also buy one of their 2.5-10 ultralights with a decent Mil reticle in it. Folks have been using the 3-9 and 6x on hunting rifles for years with...

    16-18 inch shorty rifles

Does your TS12 have a lot of edge distortion at low magnification? I had one and returned it because at low mag it was almost like a fisheye lense outside of the center of view. I did like everything about it for the price though, and I haven't seen that in any reviews, so I'm kinda of curious...

Ruger SFAR small frame 308, 6.8 pounds

You can add me to the list of folks that are pretty happy with the SFAR. I sent mine back before even shooting it because the gas block was cocked and in contact with the rail. Since it's come back I've worked up a few loads with some blem bullets I have that are ~0.9 - 1.3 moa for 5 shots, best...

    Cdg lightweight

Trying to get a feel for the comparative weight on this thing, as I've been waiting for ARC's LW action release since it was mentioned in the CDG thread. Zermatt's faq says the SA Origin is 28oz, anyone know off the top of their head if that includes the rail?

Is there any ball powder that is as temp stable as Varget?

ARComp, 8208, H4895 and now Staball Match. I love ARComp, but the Gucci pricing now is crazy. 8208 works great, but along with H4895, availability is a problem. Staball Match is working out well in 6mm ARC and .223 for me, is normally priced, constantly available and produced in the US, I'd...
