Sorry to say but on a blank barrel not made for a AR you have to not just machine the outer lug, drill holes for gas port, gas block AND for the pin plus ream the chamber you have to also machine the LUGS (something everyone posting seems to forget somehow) since in a AR the lugs are not...- Gunsmith Dan

Yes we do but currently moving to new location so the only coatings we are doing is Cerakote atm as the paint booth and compressor will be the last things we move out. The most critical for the barrel/upper is how much torque is applied to the barrel nut and if oil was applied to the outside of the barrel by the chamber to have a smooth seating of the barrel. Gunsmithing Sealing a wood stock
Use Air Cured Cerakote Micro Clear as a top coat after sanding and staining..... great stuff, very thin and chemical resistant so no worry about damaging the wood. Just do not use anything oil based or you will have adhesion problems.- Gunsmith Dan
