When does the wind and weather info get updated when paired with a Kestrel weather station? I have the Kestrel 5500 with a vane setup to feed wind and weather info into GeoBallistics. From the manual I see where you can update the wind info from within the GB app. Is there a way to pull updated...
The Powder System page was recently updated: To me it sounds like a shipping date in May/June for the first round of preorders since the estimate for the second round is late Summer.
First range trip, worked flawlessly. No issues with recoil. First 5 shots on the orange at 500 yards. Vortex solution given was 2.06 Mils up so dialed in 2.1. First shot was a little high. Dialed down to 2.0 and it started hammering. Wind was fairly high at 20 - 25 MPH so not too shabby!
Got the new KeepPower 16340 950 mAh battery in. It is a bit shorter than the Panasonic that came with the Impact 4000, but I still only get just over 1 thread of cap engagement with it. Turns out there is only about one thread of engagement even with no battery in the compartment. :rolleyes...
FYI on batteries. I tried the Orbtronic 800 mAh rechargeable battery which is 35.65 mm in length and it does sort of fit, but only has just under one thread of cap engagement. The Panasonic battery that came in the box is a bit better, but still only has a little more than one thread of...
The top video (F-Class John) on the product page should answer most if not all your questions. I don't want to sidetrack this any further out of respect for the OP's question. I'm not even sure he is interested in this product. There is another thread here that has most if not all the info on...
I don't think it matters. Mine usually throws 1 kernel under, but occasionally goes 1 over. The little bit it trickles when the powder is dropped is insignificant. I can set it to trickle slower near the end of the charge and it will almost always be .02 gr under, but I wanted to keep the speed.
Thing is the IP trickler is a proven performer. The IP powder dropper doesn't have to be super accurate just in the ballpark. What I'm really looking forward to is the trickler controller that will come with the IP dropper. From what is shown in the video previews it is accurate down to a single...
OR if you can afford to wait 1 to ??? months, the Ingenuity Powder System is on preorder now. http://ingenuityprecision.com/product/ingenuity-powder-system/
Thank you for figuring this out! I suspected it was something along those lines. It appears there is room to move the magazine back in relation to the chassis and still have it feed correctly. If I recall correctly when I used the Hornady factory 300 PRC 225 gr match ammo to break in the barrel...
I'm using a CDG LA chambered for 300 PRC in an MDT ACC chassis and if I load the cartridge to mag length it won't feed. The nose of the bullet hits the bottom of the action so it can't rise up into the action to feed. An earlier poster in this thread posted pictures clearly showing the issue...
