Wonder if this pricing jump has anything to do with Schmidt moving the DTII turret 6-36 model (exclusively?) to the competition line along with specific reticles.
It appears Schmidt is launching the 6-36 in its CMII line (competition) along with the PMII. Wonder if this has anything to do with the DTII turret availability showing at Eurooptic.
Looks like EuroOptic has posted the new 6-36 options with the TR2ID reticle. Unfortunately at this time it does not look like the DT II+ is available.
Edit…It does appear they do have the DT II+. Price is 4820.
This new reticle looks great. For those that have done it, is it best to have a reticle swap done or sell one’s older optic and purchase a new one with the desired reticle. Purchased my 6–36 through EuroOptic with the P5FL reticle, but prefer the TR2ID layout.
After comparing the Magnus and Magnus-RR, would it be safe to say one picks-up between 6 to 10 dB at shooters ear one when choosing the RR version? Seems like a fairly significant loss in suppression, though recoil reduction looks great.
Appears the case over pressure plugs have been added to the new AT-X action. Also appears the mil version cerakote the action the same color as the chassis, definitely a nice touch.
Hopefully we’ll see the short fore end AT-X make their way to civilian market. Would be curious if they decided to use the competition or standard AX trigger.
Thank you for the excellent response. You summed everything up, there was a marked improvement in glass quality on previous 5x25 pmii I have owned, and thought the
parallax adjustment was superior. It does appear that the PFL-5 retiticle should make for an adequate replacement of the Mil-C...
