130 VLD's in a 9 twist
Looking for a little advice here. I have a 260 with a 25" 9 twist barrel. I have tried working up a load with 130 Berger VLD's, touching the lands over Ramshot Hunter, and the best group I could get was 1.5 MOA at 200 yards. I was wondering if anybody has had any success getting these bullets...- horsedr

Rebarreling my .30-06
Since you already own a 30-06, I would make another vote for a 25-06. Large selection of good factory loadings and will kill whitetails and coyotes like a hammer from a long distance.- horsedr

260 Build need help!!!!
I just got a 260AI this summer. I was amazed that the brass has not needed trimming after two reloadings from fire forming. If you want to run VLD's, you will need a longer throat. I have to seat VLD's way to deep into the case in mine. Would I do the Ackley again...Absolutely. I reload...- horsedr

.223 for vetenary medicine
This might be the one thing I have the credentials as an expert to comment on in this site. A 22 rimfire is more than adequate on all but the biggest bulls and then a 22 mag might be handier.
