Where are we at in 2024 with this? I had some peltor tactical sports I really liked before I lost them Im looking at getting another set but noticed the peltor sport tactical 500's at nearly the same price or cheaper. Are the walker xcel 500's in the same league?

That's awesome! I'm almost sure that I heard the Hornady guys talking about it on their podcast either about the 6.5 PRC or the 7 PRC, likely the latter. I think they were in a different mindset when developing the 7 PRC so that's an understandable but disappointing oversight. Either way...

Yeah, the brass is .0065" short of the go gauge. The chamber is cut +.003". The only reason I ask is because I was told second hand that someone else with an ARC was having this issue. Its not a knock on ARC or the CDG. Just trying to get all the info I can.

I'm having some ignition issues with lapua 300 Norma mag brass and CCi 250s. I've heard that others may be having issues too? I'll keep doing what I can on my end but I was curious if this was common for either the CDG or lapua brass? Virgin to once fired brass grows about .009-.010" CBTO so...

That's kinda what I though with the tolerance stacking. I cut the chamber but didn't think it was long but the numbers don't lie.

It's a trigger tech special in an American rifle company CDG, it's got the trigger hanger so timing is easy to adjust.

Gotcha, I took it wrong. I was thinking sizing vs. Decapping, mandrel, bullet seating. Another SHOT item that seems cool is the new Foxtrot Mike AR barrels that are machined from one piece of metal. That's barrel extention, gas block and some kind of keymo mount. Rifling goes as far as it can...

Maybe I miss understood what he meant by, "the shell holder and the die are not under any pressure, unless you're sizing brass" that's at 0:40. I'm not sure what else he could have meant though.

In the 'bolt action reloading' video I'm pretty sure he mentions screwing the die down to touch the shell holder when sizing.

I guess that means we've all gotta go be poor somewhere else.

I could see this for some of the bigger PRS matches. But I agree, personal use I like the flashy ones. I like the shorter forend but I'm pretty happy with my standard ACC. I was hoping they'd have a new Gen for the ESS.
