    Advanced Marksmanship Mils vs magnification

If my scope holds "true" mil at 14x, and I set it to 20x, what conversion would I use for my holdover? Is it 30%? Or am I looking at this wrong?

    Rifle Scopes Mils vs Magnification

The answer to this seems simple to me but I wonder if I am missing something. If my scope has it's "true" mil at 14x, and assuming it is in the second FP, if I turn up the magnification to 20x, what factor do I need to apply to my hold over measurements? Do I multiply by 6/20ths or 30%? Is it...

    wind doping

If I know my load information and wind value, how do I accurately calculate my hold off? I read once about standard deviations for specific calibers.....

    Advanced Marksmanship wind doping

Assuming I know my load information, i.e. FPS, BC, twist and all that, and if I know the speed and direction of wind (wind value) what is the formula for calculating hold? I read somewhere that there are standard deviations for wind allowance, but the article I was reading was referring to a...

    Rifle Scopes Mil-Dot Compensation

Re: Mil-Dot Compensation So the simple answer is I need to determine at which magnification my particular scope holds true for the measurements of a "mil"? Or buy a new scope.

    Rifle Scopes Mil-Dot Compensation

As I understand a "mil" measures 3.6" at 100 yds, 7.2" at 200, and so on out to 36" at 1000yds. How does the magnification of my scope affect these measurements? I mean, don't they have to be different at 1x, 4x and 10x? Help!!!!!!
