Suppressors Suppressor weight change with use

Ran across this thread while researching cleaning sealed cans. I have two that are 4-6 ounces heavier now than they were new and would like to clean them before they gunk up anymore. I don't have an ultrasonic cleaner and don't plan to get one. CLR safe to use or jury still out? CLR damage can...

    Suppressors Time to Clean?

Found this on-line while researching carbon remover: https://www.boretech.com/products/carbonremover.shtml Claims to be safe for suppressors. Anyone have experience with this product?

    Suppressors Time to Clean?

Be careful with the vinegar/peroxide mix. It can degrade some metal components. I know this "dip" mixture can be used on some metals but not others. I have three cans that are sealed, including an older AAC Ti-Rant, and will need to clean them eventually. I've heard KR Oil or PV Blaster are safe...

Hunting & Fishing Wolf Hunting - Update - WOLF DOWN!!!!

Re: Wolf Hunting Fascinating. Have never seen a wolf in the wild but can imagine the excitement of seeing one given how exciting it is to call up and shoot coyotes. Would be interesting to see what the effect of wolves would be on the feral pig population down here. All you can eat buffet...

Hunting & Fishing texas approves suppressors for hunting

Re: texas approves suppressors for hunting Glad TXPWD was able to approve this through admnistrative rule change not law. It's likely this effort would have been de-railed or at least stiffly challenged had it gone through the legislature. Texas Senate and House members got their fill last...

Hunting & Fishing TXPWD to Consider Legalizing Hunting w/ Cans

Re: TXPWD to Consider Legalizing Hunting w/ Cans Picked this up on the Hide Suppressor forum. Ball is still rolling... http://www.tpwd.state.tx.us/newsmedia/re...12&nrsearch From the TXPWD article linked above: "Regarding the proposed amendment allowing the use of silencers, the department...

Hunting & Fishing Crows and varmint calling - please advise

Set up yesterday morning at great spot along-side a creek. Lit up adult rabbit distress at first light and readied myself for action. Crows responded immediately. Three or four circled above mojo/call and one swooped down and almost took mojo top with it. After that about ten flew around and...

Hunting & Fishing TXPWD to Consider Legalizing Hunting w/ Cans

Re: TXPWD to Consider Legalizing Hunting w/ Cans Pulled this from an article in the Austin paper. By the sound of this, the silencers for hunting agenda item was approved without discussion. "Last Wednesday, without any discussion, commissioners approved the silencer proposal for public...

Hunting & Fishing TXPWD to Consider Legalizing Hunting w/ Cans

Re: TXPWD to Consider Legalizing Hunting w/ Cans Hmmm... Not sure but it looks like the agenda item specific to legalization of silencers was removed from the meeting held on 1/25. Click the following link and take a look at the box in the upper left hand corner. Don't like the fact that...

Hunting & Fishing SC Coyote Double! My First Yotes! More Down! pic

Re: South Carolina Coyote Double! My First Yotes! Very cool. It is a total rush! I have the Spitfire but haven't used the deer distress call yet. The wounded adult rabbit and mojo decoy have worked very well several times, though. Good work. Can't wait to call again soon.
