Having gone through quite a few, I'll say this: Do not be afraid to buy a used A.I. They won't wear out and the savings can be substantial. Also, though the looks will draw you to it, a color scheme will never make it shoot/perform any better. Again, just my take, but I understand it's also...

I have missed out on two of these in the past year. I shoot a McMillan Tac-50, but would love to change that to an A.I. to match most of my others. They are amazing pieces of machinery. Beautiful rig, sir.

At 100 yards, most A.I. rifles in any caliber will shoot a 5-shot one hole group with match quality ammo. That is more than rule than the exception. I honestly do not measure groups inside of 600 yards. You can look at a group and tell if it's good or not. When I got my first AX338 I zeroed at...

Thank you, Rolex. IIRC, the extractor also shared the same features as what is used on the magnum calibers and not the now common leaf spring short action style. AW mags, and a somewhat odd cut on the bolt body. I remember when the new AT came out, I thought to myself, "But they already had an...

The AW with the dovetail mount is my favorite by a good margin. I like most anything AI, but the AW is the one I turn to most. My two AW .308s and my AWSM .300 Win Mag have seen A LOT of rounds. Like yours at 5,200, I have one just over 7k that is still going strong.

And after all these years, I still shoot the AW.308 the most. Go figure.

    AI AXMC... .264 Win Mag????

I have a .264 Win Mag built on a Badger 2013 from SAC. 28" 8 twist Bartlein. Though I also have an AI AWSM in .300, It will likely never get a .264 barrel. I love the .264 Win Mag and would never steer anyone away from it unless the intent was a long barrel life after long and/or fast strings on...

    New Beanland 6.5x47 lapua rifle

Re: New Beanland 6.5x47 lapua rifle I guess after a few months of lurking I can break my posting cherry. This rifle is about as close to what I consider a perfect all-around setup as I've seen on here. The caliber, stock, barrel dimensions... it's all fantastic. I would love a rifle like this...
