    270 or 6.5cm hunting

Agreed with everything I'm reading. .270 is a lot of fun but you have to shoot perfectly with it or the recoil boots you all over. My PRC comes out of the safe a lot more often, the recoil is so slight it feels like cheating.

    270 or 6.5cm hunting

Oh make sure you get a 6.5 PRC. It's the male version of the Creedmoor.

    270 or 6.5cm hunting

One thing to remember is that .270 is very rarely used as a target rifle so they get relatively little use and aren't very popular so the second hand market is full of cheap rifles. Mine is a 15 year old Tikka T3 that I got for pennies and it will still shoot 1/2 inch with handloads. Get both.

    270 or 6.5cm hunting

I have .270 and 6.5 PRC. PRC has the same muzzle energy as the .270 (2700 Ft/lbs) but is a lot more pleasant to shoot in my opinion. Very little recoil and much easier to spot your hits.

    ACOG 3X30 or S&B 8x56 on an AR15 - advice please?

Thanks for the advice. I actually drunk E-bayed an ex-demonstrator 3x30 ACOG last night at a great price. I'm going to try it and if I don't like it will sell it and mount the S&B. Thanks again.

Evening all I'm in the UK an have just ordered my first AR15. (Schmeisser SP15 14.5 inch). It's a rifle I've always wanted even though we are limited to straight pull and can't own semi automatics in the UK. Wanted to ask some advice on optics please. I looking at an ACOG 3x30 for the...

    6.5 PRC vs 6.5 Creedmoor

thanks for this. I’ve looked at the Hornady load data and you can load the 147s from about 2700 FPS up to 3000+. I’m tempted to just go with the PRC and work with a lower and upper end load. 2700 for general plinking and target work up to 1200 yards. 3000 if I want to stretch it out to a...

    6.5 PRC vs 6.5 Creedmoor

Just resurrecting this post.......I'm looking at getting the Sauer 100 Fieldshoot rifle either in Creedmoor or PRC....... This has probably been done but has anyone tried using the PRC but with 2 loads. A "lighter" lower MV load to mimic the Creedmoor round and hopefully preserve some barrel...

Range Report .338 Monolithic Bullets? Which is the best?

Hi All I tried some monolithic bullets last week in MY AI .338 Lapua. They were Peregrine - Glider Rangemaster 275 grain and I was disappointed to find that their avertised G7 of .484 ended up being about .395 when measured by adjusting my Kestrel BC down to the point I was achieving accurate...

Rifle Scopes Did S&B ever make the 3-12 x 50 PM2 scope with 1/2 MOA turret clicks????

Hi all Bit of help please. I'm bidding on a scope on Ebay and noticed it comes in 1/2 MOA turret adjustments. I've never seen this before and all the S&B websites refer to 0.1 MRAD, 1/4 MOA or 1/8 MOA per click? Just wondered if anyone has ever seen one like this or if it's an older...

Trudeau just banned 1500 guns completely circumventing any democratic process.

This is the way the left works in all countries. They just chase the populist vote. Tony Blair did something similar in the UK regarding fox-hunting a few years ago. Fox Hunting was done by a tiny minority of people in the UK on horseback following a pack of dogs. Had been going on for...
