Rifle Scopes Has anyone else sent their Zeiss scope off to the factory to be fixed and it is OVER DUE??

Had an old German Zeiss freeze it's erector in the heat of Namibia. Sent it in. Sorry, parts not available to fix it. Sent me a brand new German made Zeiss scope worth twice what my old one was. Never had any other company replace a defective product with a new in shrinkwrap much higher end unit!

Sidearms & Scatterguns Advice deciding on a 1911 in the $1500 range

Re: Advice deciding on a 1911 in the $1500 range My vote would be for a Milspec and $900 to a good smith for a trigger job and reliability package and better sights. You'd have a better pistol overall than any of the above. Short of a Les Baer or Wilson, most any factory piece will need...

    Suppressors recommendation for rimfire supressor?

Re: recommendation for rimfire supressor? Went with the AAC Pilot 2 Not full auto rated, but only about half the price of the Element. Small, light, take apart can. I paid $290 shipped. About as quiet as the Element when tested at www.silencerforum.com. Most all the current rimfire cans...

Rifle Scopes USO SN-4 JNG MIL Photos

Re: USO SN-4 JNG MIL Photos Hardly a range nazi! Just someone who respects firearms and the rules that go with handling them. Maybe you safed the weapon before the pics. Maybe you didn't. Did find the pics aimed at vehicles with people in them a bit disturbing.

Re: Acuracy and reliability between G17 and baretta 92 Had both. Slight nod toward Glock, though 92 is a fine pistol. Prefer 1911. As to the never had a malfunction crowd, you haven't had proper training, period! Take a two day combat handgun course in sideways rain, combat reloads...

Hunting & Fishing Hunting Head Shots

Re: Hunting Head Shots Don't believe in head shots on game animals except maybe on an elephant. Besides, due to CWD's increasing prevalence, I wouldn't eat the meat from a brain shot elk or deer from most states in the US.
