Re: Everyday Carry Blade I carry a knife to cut stuff, not to use as a weapon. The only way I'd use a knife in self defense is as a impact weapon as my last ditch.
Re: Help me choose from my ONLY TWO Knife options Do yourself a favor and don't get the Gerber. Its a brick of a knife designed for cutting your way out of a plane. Go with a Short ka-bar, I have one I use for a woods knife and love it.

Re: Yet another knife question..... The LHR does indeed have 420HC steel. If you're looking for a hunting/utilitarian purposes, the LHR is the wrong blade for you. I'd suggest a ESEE RC-3 or RC-4, Fallkniven F1, Buck Vanguard or Gen 5, also any number or Bark River knives.
Re: Favorite folding knife. I'd suggest sticking with the Endura, possibly upgrading to a Endura 4 the latest variant. They also offer the Endura with the Emerson wave.
Re: Best survival knife for under $200?? The Bravo 2 is to big for my taste also, but within the op's wanted size. The bravo 1 ss is my favorite fixed blade. I decided the Bravo 1 ss was worth the extra $$$ over the original.
