Hey Folks, I have owned the AWT Chassis in a Savage S/A for about 2 months now and would like to let those interested know what I think of it so far. About four years ago I bought a Savage Model 10 FCP-K, and it’s a superbly accurate rifle. It is a .308 with a heavy fluted 24” barrel with and...
You haven't named the original maker, yet your picture clearly shows the action being from Bat Machine in Rathdrum. Not hard to google and figure who and where that is. So if this is not the guilty party we should at least know that! ;)
Thanks Bob, That's a great resource indeed. I remember now seeing it in the past but did not recall having done so prior to you bringing it up. There's so much info out there today it's hard to keep track of! Isn't that a nice problem to have? :)
It's interesting that you say that since on the A.R.M.S. website they state that the shape of the rings and the levers are a trademark belonging to them. So if anyone else has some that look the same then somebody is wrong :)
Nolegs, I don't think those are the ones. The QR levers are very different in shape and the rings are as well. An interesting design aspect of the rings pictured on the two rifles in my original post is that the QR levers face towards each other.
Hey folks, I've seen a number of pictures on the web of MK12 type platforms with low mount quick detach rings that I am unable to identify by brand. They look similar to the offering from Larue, but they are not the same as far as I can tell. Any one of you know what the source is for the...
I haven't looked, but if there is a price difference between the Aimpoint H/T-1 in the 4 vs. 2 MOA models I have the following to offer. I own one of each of the T-1's, and with the unaided eye I cannot see a difference in dot size with them side by side. Perhaps with a magnifier it would...
Do not move to N. Idaho! It's way too cold in the winter and way too hot in the summer. It's far too crowded, the hunting and fishing is terrible and the liberals are trying to take our guns away. The lakes, streams and air are polluted as well. There's nothing good going for this place...
:) Yeah, I resemble that remark I guess! You know your getting older when one of the aircraft that you flew (and I mean THE actual aircraft) is in the Army Aviation Museum. The funny thing is, we delivered that aircraft to the museum about 20 years ago. I too remember getting ANVIS 6's for...
Saw this thread and had to take a look at was is going on today in the world of NVG's. It's a bit of a trip down memory lane you see, as I graduated from US Army flight school in 1980. The Army was just in the early days of flying with goggles. They were full face goggles (a padded leather...
