    Everyday shoe recommendations

I had one pair of Oboz. Never again. One short three mile hike and I wore holes through the insole and the back of the ankle. For me it’s Altra, Merell, Keen, or Lowa.

    MPA wait times

I ordered a R700 BA (folder) chassis on 07/18. I received it on 08/31, which was in-line with the estimates on their site at the time.

    AI equipment, need some help....

This is definitely the correct answer. Assuming you don't want to tighten the the B&T spigot mount after every stage at a match.

Rifle Scopes Anybody have a USO LR17 in a cantilever mount? AR application.

The Warne LR-SKEL works great with the LR17, and is available in a 20 MOA model if that is one of your requirements.

PRS Talk Potential Team Safari train-up in Central Texas

@AustinTom - I just sent you a PM with some details. @stevenc23 - definitely looks like an interesting course, but I'm not sure I can swing the extra trip to NM this spring.

PRS Talk Potential Team Safari train-up in Central Texas

I'm signed up to shoot the Competition Dynamics Team Safari match with a buddy in October. The match format is pretty different from what I've shot in the past, so we're looking at options to get some practice with the setup/range/engage process required. I've reached out to one of the...

    The Fix by Q thoughts

As someone who owns a Fix, I agree with everything said here. I carried it 40+ miles over 5 days in the SW Colorado mountains last year. It's the first rifle in my safe I'd want to hump around on an extended hunting trip. It's the last rifle in my safe I'd want to take to any sort of PRS-style...

    Accuracy International 223 conversion working

I would be very interested in one of these if you can get the current challenges sorted out. I've thought about building a 223 trainer off of some R700 footprint action, but as you describe the costs add up pretty quick with a trigger upgrade, AX chassis, and glass. I'm also just generally...

    The Fix from Q

Yes, actually. They are remarkably responsive to customer service issues.

Which drag bag do you use?

I bought my Eberlestock Drag Bag after the third zipper failed on my MidwayUSA bag... That Midway bag is a great value, but I would argue that the Eberlestock is definitely worth 3x the price if you tend to be rough on your gear. Like yourself, I still use the Midway bag for ARs and 22s, but I...

    The Fix from Q

Did you switch to a shorter top rail to accommodate your scope/scope covers? I've tried the swivel mount in a few different orientations, and even on the other side of the rail (in case my hand guard is canted). In the last slot towards the front both slings I tried (a SAP and a FTW) had flush...

    The Fix from Q

The original hand guard is a proprietary setup from Q. I believe it's called Q-sert. They claim it has some crazy shear strength compared to MLOK, but so far I haven't been impressed with it's practicality. Your only option for accessories is from Q directly. I've got the two picatinny rail...

Rifle Scopes Budget FFP scope... possible?

I can second the Primary Arms 4-14x. It was what I originally had on my 260 before I upgraded to an NXS F1. The Primary Arms can be had with a decent set of rings and a 20MOA base for under your target price range.
