I'm thinking Macau. Also He was probably doing it on purpose. You can find a youtube of Joey Dunlop narrating a lap around the isle of man. One of the comments he made stuck with me, it was something along the lines of " I come through here and gently brush my helmet on the wall" something about...

BC - If the Same for Different Cartridge= Minimal Zero Change?

Thanks for the responses. I guess didn't think this through fully. Even I matched BC and weight different powder loads would make a difference. So I guess, I'll get a good quality hunting round and at the end of class take some shots and plug into strelock and make adjustments.

BC - If the Same for Different Cartridge= Minimal Zero Change?

Hi There, My question is related to changing from one cartridge to another. My situation is that I will be attending a multiple day shooting course and the very next day going on a bear hunt. For the course I am using Federal GM HPBT168 Gr. .308. If I can find a hunting cartridge that has the...

I think it is a tragedy and pretty much sucks, but it does remind me of a similiar occurance when i was in the army. I'll set the scene: 1996 or 7, A co 2/35 INF I was probably a PFC at this point in the 60mm mortar section. I was the RTO and the company was going to conduct night ambushes...

Do you change your turrets when you zero (Dumb Question..)

Thanks for the input and advice from all. It reinforces that I need to be more deliberate when I go shooting. I have not been going much at all, for a variety of reasons, which makes deliberate practice all the more important. Thanks again very much for everyones time in replying. Cameron

Do you change your turrets when you zero (Dumb Question..)

Thanks for the advice. The ammo is from one lot. The weather was quite a bit different, and it is extremely likely that it is my mechanics. I guess a beter question would hae been, at what point would you slip your turrets to zero? I should note that I have pretty good groups at 100-200 yards...

Do you change your turrets when you zero (Dumb Question..)

I'm not very experienced, so I'm guessing DA is density Altitude? I'm working on mils so 1/10th per click. If that's the case it must be inconsistency on my part (likely), as it is sometimes 2-3 tenths at 100. Ammo is .308 168gr Federal Gold Medal BTHP and rifle is from reliable builder. day for...

Do you change your turrets when you zero (Dumb Question..)

I was wondering if you should or if people slip their turret zero mark when they shoot at different times. Depending on the time of year I have noticed a pretty big difference. Just curious, I always kind of like to have my zero be "0" at 100 yds, makes my elevation changes easier to dial...

Hey there all, This is my motivation. It is a 38 super comp built by Tony Kidd, it belongs to a woman I know who got me into pistols. She took up shooting in her early 50s and eventually took 2nd place for senior women at world speed steel. She's in hospice right now with ALS , no use of her...

Suppressors Shout out to Tac Ops

I was working overseas a long while ago and thought I was rich, so I plunked down the cash for a Tac Ops Tango 51 in .308 and went with the titanium suppressor. I took possesion in 2012 and then due to a variety of circumstances never really shot it. This summer I took a shooting course and got...

That is funny! I'm really short 5'4" and my neighbors are both a lot taller than me. She's 5'10 he's 5'11". I was contracting overseas and she oversaw the remodel of my bathrooms. As a result I have two toilets that I can barely flat foot when sitting and an extra big bathtub that I can only...

Ok, fused some of the metal on the bar which no doubt involved some sort of spark in area where dust bunnies are likely to form. Unlikely accidents are not the same as impossible. Had that plug been installed upside down there would have been zero issue. But, like I said, I haven't changed anything

Well, my brother is a record holder then. He was renting my house while I was over seas and pushed one of those extendable magnets you use for screws or whatever off the back of the washer and sure enough it landed on the slightly pulled out plug and tripped the breaker. Having said that I have...
