Re: Anshutz 64 MP-R The 64 MPR is an excellent rifle. The trigger, bolt action, stock and balance are better than any of the factory rim fires I've owned. It is a superb training tool. The only down side I can think of is the mag release is not as good as most others I've owned. Best wishes
Re: Shooting in snow? Actually it's a fair question. There are things to consider as some have explained. There's even a gun that's made more robust for winter conditions, it's one of the best out there (AIAW). I think shooting in winter conditions adds to the challenge of the sport, it makes...

Re: Kimber 8400 Tactical Opinions The Kimber 8400 tactical was my first tactical rifle and it shot great. It's what got me a little too interested in this sport. I've upgraded to a 8400 advanced tactical now and I love it also. Great gun, shoot the heck out of it and enjoy it!
Re: 17 hmr break in? Lija barrels has a break in procedure. You should check their web site. They told me to break in my barrels and that it does make a difference. I don't know but I figure it can't hurt any thing and so I do it.
