You can take some pretty significant game with the big PCP air rifles. The high end PCP rifles run $1000-3000. These are not your grand dad's air rifles. Check out brands like FX and Daystate. .25 and .30 calibers. You get about 40 shots a fill, 70 FPE energy, 900 FPS. The power is crazy...

I have LRA, Atlas and Harris. Hands down LRA is most robust for heavier rifles.
