It is an original issue manual dated February 1989. Here is what is commonly found, a reproduction. Maybe speculative, but now that Illion NY is closed, its possible there will be a lot of M24 items hitting the market soon.

Havnt seen a top Pic mounted laser before on MARS/MIR, like you said its occluded, even with that Mark 4 Super High ringset. It would be tits with a PVS-10 if you could get them both aligned. But I assume these AI stocked rifles were issued after the PVS-10

MARS with PEQ-2 on the top rail, is that set up for use with a helmet mounted monocular like a PVS-14 that looks thru the scope. Or is it meant to be used with a PVS-10?

The pricepoint of BOG tripods is very affordable. Dont expect Manfrotto or HOG Saddle specs. If I could afford a $1500 tripod, I would have bought one

Neither the Elevation Tilt, or the 360° Pan Adjustment are meant to be locked into place on the BOG Deathgrip. This is described in the operator manual.

The collar is not designed to lock into position, and must not be over tightened. But here is what I did to make it hold tighter: Disassemble the saddle post by first removing the 5mm allen bolt from the bottom. It's covered with a rubber plug. The parts are similiar to a bicycle fork stem...

Off topic question. Does anyone know if Remington Illion NY plant tours/museum visits are still happening? I live about 3 hours away and thinking about going before they close. I can call, but figured ask here in case any employees are following the thread.

The M24 also has a steel triggerguard/floorplate assembly. The usual bottom metal on Remingtons is aluminum.
