Havnt seen a top Pic mounted laser before on MARS/MIR, like you said its occluded, even with that Mark 4 Super High ringset. It would be tits with a PVS-10 if you could get them both aligned. But I assume these AI stocked rifles were issued after the PVS-10
MARS with PEQ-2 on the top rail, is that set up for use with a helmet mounted monocular like a PVS-14 that looks thru the scope. Or is it meant to be used with a PVS-10?
Neither the Elevation Tilt, or the 360° Pan Adjustment are meant to be locked into place on the BOG Deathgrip. This is described in the operator manual.
The collar is not designed to lock into position, and must not be over tightened. But here is what I did to make it hold tighter: Disassemble the saddle post by first removing the 5mm allen bolt from the bottom. It's covered with a rubber plug. The parts are similiar to a bicycle fork stem...
This Redfield Olympic is just a placeholder until I locate a reasonably priced Redfield International Big Bore. In the meantime, does anyone have a spare quick detach thumbscrew for sale.
Off topic question. Does anyone know if Remington Illion NY plant tours/museum visits are still happening? I live about 3 hours away and thinking about going before they close. I can call, but figured ask here in case any employees are following the thread.
