    2013 SNIPER ADVENTURE CHALLENGE

Zak, I have a Delorme InReach device that is current. Can I give you the tracking information for that device in lieu of the Spot tracker? I also have a Spot tracker but the service is not current. The Spot folks require I sign up for a year to reactivate the Spot, at a cost of $150.

To Lasik, or not to Lasik....

Re: To Lasik, or not to Lasik.... Don't hesitate. Pick a good doc with an all-laser procedure and you'll be happy. I had mine done after reading-glass age so I didn't notice a decline there. Had the surgery to correct astigmatism. It makes a huge difference in quality of life for active...

Re: help me select the ideal backpacking stove Jetboil for the last few years, but I'm not a gourmet cook. I just use it for re-hydrating freeze dried food, heating the entree packets from MRE's, and hot drinks. Used ( and still use) the MSR whisperlite for years and it's still one of my...

Rifle Scopes Need advice on 3-gun scope (newby)

Re: Need advice on 3-gun scope (newby) I started with an ACOG TA01NSN with the JP reticle and used this in conjunction with a 1:00 mounted iron sight for the short targets. Never got really good with the side site, but the ACOG is a fantastic optic for 75 yds or more. Problem is, that most...

    CCW Advice?

Re: CCW Advice? G19, G23, or 1911 Commander in a Crossbreed IWB in most weather. Been through lots of holsters like most here and you will probably will too. Any of these guns will hide under a shirt. I buy my pants a bit big to accomodate. Also a 38 S&W snub either in a front pants pocket...

    Piston 7.62 Recommendations?

Re: Piston 7.62 Recommendations? Alpha, thanks for mentioning the FNAR. I have a bit of experience there. My bud took one to a 4-day LRI class, didn't clean it, break it in lube it, or anything. Just shot 400 rounds at distances up to 1000 yd. It'd do about .75 moa with the only ammo we...

    Piston 7.62 Recommendations?

Re: Piston 7.62 Recommendations? Jeff I'm looking for a general use rifle that's reasonably light (8-9 lb) and reasonably accurate. I'd use it for hog hunting and a general utility rifle. Maybe even shoot a couple of 3 gun matches with it. I'd use it out to 700 yards max (if it and me...

    White oak armament barrels

Re: White oak armament barrels I have one of their uppers and it shoots extremely well. I just assembled an upper with one of their 18" SPR barrels. Won't go wrong either way.
