Re: What to go with...Rem/Savage? Just search armslist for a used 700. You can find alot of well made older actions for under 400 for the entire rifle (atleast in oregon).

Re: Duracoat Cerakote Bolt Issue Sounds alot like he did a bad job using DuraCoat and probably did not bake it like he was suppose to. Ceracoat is far more durable than DuraCoat. I would take it back and make him redo it in ceracoat if you paid for what you got.
