Berger Sales Suspended - at one retailer

Inflation works like two edged sword as well. Say it goes up 10% and your salary stays the same, your salary is effectively cut by 20%. Yes, you spend 10% more, but now you have to save 10% more to equal what you were doing because the value of it is now 10% less. Our “raises” are not keeping...

There’s maybe 1-2c worth of copper at best in a j4 jacket. If prices double, I pay 1c more? Lead is down since 2013. It’s either the labor market, increase in projected corporate taxes, or profit. It’s likely all three.

There’s been a lot of buying and not a lot of shooting. As prices correct be ready to see ammo from private sellers being dumped on the market when their “investments” start to tank. Same thing happened a few years ago when ARs were impossible to give away. If 2022 midterms go well for...

Lead prices were way higher in 2018, and even 2013 lol. Copper is quite a bit higher though. Not sure how bullets are 2x as much now though.

    Horizontal wind creates lift?

It doesn’t create “lift”. Cross wind can induce yaw however. It’s also not an angular measurement, moa or mil, it’s an absolute value like inches or mm. So depending on how “close” the wind is to your muzzle, IE an open field where you can feel it, or sheltered from the wind for 10’, the...

Berger Sales Suspended - at one retailer

Berger / Capstone raised prices on *backorders* not just new orders. So if a company sold bullets at $50/100 on back order and had a standing back order with capstone to fill them at say $40/100, the retailer should still make $10/box. But Capstone now just said, “hey, your back order price just...

    Quick Question about PRS

Email or call the match director and talk with him/her. You also don’t need a PRS membership to shoot any PRS matches, club or national level.

    PRS Talk PRS gun Trigger

Bix n Andy Tacsport pro. Either single or two stage. I like the two stage personally, it forces you to make a good trigger press, vs a single stage that can be “slapped” at. If not a Bix, a standard Jewell single stage works great too. Would not recommend a TT at this time due to mechanical...

    Would you shoot this match?

I think you need a mix of small targets and big targets. Put the tiny targets inside 400 yards that force you to hold hard and break good shots from hard positions, and save the larger targets for long range where you are trying to test people’s ability to read wind and spot shots. Big targets...

    PRS gun Build

I've gone top 10 with a 6.5 creed at a national match (I think I've only shot a 6.5 three times lol), and won & placed at national matches with non-br based cartridges. Clearly the BR /Dasher is capable, people are winning with them, and I've won/placed at matches with them as well. For me...

    Just 1 rifle?

Just buy a lighter 18” barrel and keep your current barrel in the safe. You never know when you might want to put it back on.

Yea, those BR's have way less recoil. Well, unless you're talking about peak force, then they actually have more if you push it to a decent velocity. And even going 150 fps slower it's only about 10% less total momentum. Literally adding an extra pound of weight to your rifle makes more...

    Spuhr mounts prone to cracking?

20 is what I use with all of my Spuhrs. I was using 15, but every match or two I need to retorque. At 20, that issue is gone. 25 is fine for *most* scopes, but some (like some Tangents I've seen) don't like it.
