Rifle Scopes Clarity doesn’t match parallax.

The required parallax setting changes based on ambient temperature. The warmer it gets the “less” you need, and the colder it gets the “more” you need. Scopes are calibrated at the factory at a specific temperature, and the further away from temp you are the more error you’ll have. This is not...

Give me your input on how to practice.

There's really just a handful of skills to learn for PRS. Building positions, transitions, fast target acquisition, shooting small groups, spotting shots / impacts / misses, and reading wind. You will have a hard time learning wind and spotting shots inside 200 yards, but you can certainly...

LEFT HANDED Shooters- we Southpaws need your input

Here's a handful of lefty bolt guns I've owned, most of which I still own. Impact, Sugeon, and Defiance customs along with factory AI's, Anschutz, and Vudoo. They all feel and work a little different, but all great function wise. IMO, if you are waiting around on AI, don't. Build a custom...

What if any Left Handed production rifles are available from Accuracy International or similar?

Yep. Exactly why I got extras for the SR. I could use a spare for the AT though.

What if any Left Handed production rifles are available from Accuracy International or similar?

Good luck with waiting for another run of lefty AXSR's to come in any time soon. If you can find one, snag it. I picked up both the LH AT and AXSR when they were in stock at Euro. And if you are serious about keeping them, you may want to grab an extra FP assembly and bolt(s) while you still...

    An ar10 for prs

Hmm. How much POI shift are you seeing with a barrel nut attached handguard between prone / bipod and off of a barricade? There can be a little poi shift with bolt guns too, and it has to do with recoil management and NPA typically. I always noticed a tiny bit of poi shift (1/4-1/2 moa tops...

SOLD Any 6.5CM SRP brass out there? WTB new

https://www.grafs.com/catalog/product/productId/76154 I'm a huge fan of lapua, but in my experience Peterson is a solid alternative. I've been using Peterson for 3 years, and it holds up great and weighs very consistently. Worth a try IMO.

    .223 - 5.56

Standard 223. Edit: It’s a standard 223 reamer with a .078 fb. You can go slightly longer but oal is already within .040-.050 of max mag length of 2.55”.

Rifle Scopes What the pros use confusion

I wouldn't read too much into these sorts of lists. Being first or fifth on the list doesn't necessarily mean something is better or worse. That said, it's great to see American companies that support our sport at the top of the lists like Leupold, Foundation, Impact, and Alpha just to name a few.

Vortex Razor HD Gen III 6-36x56

Parallax calibration is done at a specific temperature, and the parallax settings will change depending on whether the scope is in cold or hot weather. Next time it is very cold outside, take your scope from the warm house outside, and immediately set parallax so that there is no parallax error...

Range Report 105 Hybrid BC? Impacting high

I don’t know to be honest. List your scope height, velocity, and firing direction. I’ll run it through the kestrel later today and see what it comes up with. Maybe screenshot your strelok inputs as well. 10% BC is a lot to be off. I’m assuming atmospherics are input correctly as well? Where...

Range Report 105 Hybrid BC? Impacting high

raising scope height lowers required elevation. Tweak your BC to get the data to line up. If it’s less then .265-.270 then something else is wrong. Can you reverify distance of the target?

Does 6.5x47 or 6x47 still have a place?

Here’s a load development target with 5x 4 & 5 shot groups with 6x47. Took the same load I settled on for that barrel and did a 3x3 with another barrel. Average group size was like .18 for the 5x target with at least one group in the zeroes. I’ve had multiple barrels shooting sub 1/2 moa...

Range Report 105 Hybrid BC? Impacting high

Verify that your zero, scope height, and velocity are correct. Also verify firing direction, as east vs west can net a .2 mil difference at 1000. 12” low at 700 is .5 mil, and there is no way your BC is off by *that* much if you plugged in .275. Something or a combination of things is off.

Reasons people compete, and what grows the sport.

I always wondered why Mo stopped when he was so good at it. Then I saw more and more phase out after being near the top, and now I too understand why. Once you know you can win or place, and you realize that there is no grand prize or anything life changing at the top, it is hard to continue to...

SP10 won't reset trigger during cycling

Geissele national match with adjustable sear will fix this issue. Any time you are trying to hold extremely tight sear engagement it can be hit or miss depending on trigger pin hole location. Too much sear and you have creepy trigger pull, too little and you get hammer follow / dead trigger or...
