I was not including the 3200, 4200 or the 6500 as I was starting with the DMR series and newer. I am also excluding the Bushnell Elite LPVO options like the SMRS.
Hi folks, I am trying to establish a timeline of sorts on the Bushnell Elite line of scopes starting with the original DMR in 3.5-21x50mm. Here is what I got so far. Original DMR came out a long time ago. I want to say sometime around 2011-2012. Then came the HDMR then the ERS and the XRS in...
This is why I asked to be set straight on this. I have unrealistic expectations that need to be tempered down a notch. I'll try it out the way it is and see what happens.
Good point. Unfortunately I am stuck with the rifle as WA state laws would allow me to buy any semis. They have those "evil" features that make the bullets fly faster
I know I chose poorly as far as accuracy is concerned but the tight timeframe and the lack of funds did not allow for anything better at the time. The rifle has a Burris XTR III 3.3-18 on it, Magpul SL stock and a Wilson Combat TTU single stage trigger. Also added a RifleSpeed Adjustable gas...
I had to rush and buy a AR-10 last year before a law took effect and got myself an Aero M5E1 18" in .308 because I could not find or afford something better. It came with a BA 18" 4150 CMV heavy profile barrel. I still have not taken the gun out to the range to try it. While fondling the gun...
So my XTR showed up and I immediately put the Bushnell next to it for the side by side comparison. Since the Bushnell is a 3-12 I set the XTR to 12x and tried to see if I can see a difference. To my eyes I could not tell much of a difference. The FOV on the XTR is bigger than the Bushnell. CA...
Thank you guys for all your responses and suggestions. I ended up picking up a Burris XTRIII 3.3-18x50 non-illuminated model from the classifieds. Can’t wait to get it and compare to my Bushnell.
Follow up question: What about the Bushnell Elite ERS 3.5-21x50 or the XRS line. I know they are discontinued but used are available. Do they have better glass than I have? As you can see I am partial to Bushnell because I have not used much of anything else.
Thank you for the posts. I fixed mine above as I guess I messed up the specs a bit. I'm not sure how helpful post #6 is. Not all of us can swing $4k+ optics. I like the sarcasm though. But #4 is definitely what I was looking for. I like LOW designs as the Bushnell I have is pretty good. That's...
Hello everyone, I don't post much here but do visit on a somewhat regular basis. I have been pondering on what to get for my next optic but not sure what direction to go. I currently own a Bushnell Elite Tactical 3-12x44 (ET3124FJ) and a Weaver Tactical 3-15x50 (800362). In the past I have...
Everyone is waiting for a better deal. I was at my local groceries store and they restocked TP. I mentioned to the cashier that they finally got some on the shelves and he said that it will be gone by end of day. I don't get this TP obsession.
