    Gunsmithing .280 AI SAAMI questions

On the last 280 AI that I built it had great accuracy at the 100 yard line fire forming factory hornady 280 rem. But I dont think the velocity would be consistent enough while fire forming to be precise at long range. Just fire form, reload, then start your long range work.

    Gunsmithing Chambering Without Forced Fluid

I have had good luck just using ATF fluid. I just take my time make small cuts normally around .030" and bush the chips from the reamer with kerosene. It may not be the most fancy way but it seems to work fine and produce a nice chamber.

The 511 was actually my first gun and it seemed pretty accurate with just the iron sight but that gun is just a safe queen now. But when I picked up the other one is when the wheels started turning! I was planning on making a base for it, bedding it, trigger, and possibly re barreling it, Im...

Hello, I picked up a remmy 511 about a year ago for 100$ its in really good shape besides a few normal wear marks in the stock, and it had a new butt plate installed but it was never ground to fit and still over sized from the stock. Up until now the rifle has just sat in the safe while I was...

    .30-06 as a precision rifle ?

3006 is a great round and once fired brass is pretty much free just go to the range after the opener of deer season and dig threw the garbage, Its amazing how much brass bubba will throw away, and how many shots it takes him to get sighted in.
