Thank you Culpeper... Looks like I'll be selling my "oversized" brown one,and looking to trade one of my green ones for a correct size brown one.

Thanks rlm... Both my green ones DO have the Protecto-Kaddy shield and name on the fronts.Once you send me the measurments,if both my green ones are the correct sizes,then I'll be looking to trade one off for a brown one.It's been a while since I've posted pics here,I'll try to get one up...

IF the rings are original to the box,,they are similar to correct ones..But I show a part number for the M40 as being 523503

I don't know who won the stock,,but were any of you guys aware that the seller of the stock also had up an original 8/66 dated M40 barrel???

I have had several of these butt plates,think I still have 3 or 4. They are all sightly different is size. These are all take offs,so I guess the bottom line is that when the plates were installed,who ever the assembler was sanded the plates to match the wood???
