    AR9 Help

Just watched a video and had the same problem the guy in the video had. I believe the rear of the case is getting caught on two corners of the bolt part that pushes the round forward and created the two shiny marks on the case. Prob explains why the steel rounds wouldn't work. I thin if I can...

    AR9 Help

I bought an AR9 upper at a gun show with all the assurances that it was fine. :ROFLMAO: When I tried to shoot it with the Endomag inserts in a Pmag, the round would bury itself in the top of the chamber and not completely feed. This resulted in a "smile" like mark on the brass case and the...

Does a ladder test verify what the objective muzzle velocity will be?..

Correct me if Im wrong, it looks like you have done a reverse OCW. Shoot for distance but verified at 100 yards. Very interesting, nice shooting!

    308 win, what's your favorite IMR4064 recipe?

Just started over with Lapua brass. 175 SMK 42.1 4064 210M Lapua brass OAL 2.825 Last time I shot to check the load I was getting an average of 2650 from my Rem 700 SPS Varmint and .295 MOA vertical spread at 300 yards.

6mm Rem w/ Hornady 105 Match BTHP Seating Depth

I have some of these loaded up to shoot from my Ruger M77 MKII and have seated them to the Hodgdon reload data for 105 AMAX', at 2.825. Does anyone have a Ruger M77 that have loaded these? Im curious to know your seating depth.

    GemPro 250 Review...

Got mine last week and seems to be working good. I turn off the ceiling fan when I use it and removed a fluorescent light. I do let it warm up for awhile before I use it. I use the small pan it came with to drop the charge, add with a trickler and remove kernels with the plastic tweezers. I try...

    Recommendations for Chronograph

I cant recommend one but I can recommend one not to get. I opted for the cheap way out and got a Chrony F1. I would say it works 75% of the time with rifles and 0 % with handguns. At least with my trying to determine speed with my .45 loads. It is absolutely horrible and was an absolute waste of...

    .308 Velocity Increasing With Temp

Out of curiosity, I checked two different speeds at two different temps with my Varget load and they work out to 1 FPS difference exactly. This gives me something new to pay attention to over the temp spreads that I shoot at to see if I have the same consistent results. Yep, thanks Graham!

    DIY Cheek Rest

After thinking of this and what I had on hand, it took about 5 minutes. I sure feel cheap. Makes my stock almost invisible now. Dont know how durable it will be, but its there. Pool noodle, belt form waders, stock sock.

    Range Report Whats Acceptable Grouping?

For some reason I have it in my mind that shooting sub MOA at any distance is acceptable. I think I have finally developed a couple loads Im happy with for my .308 and Im moving on to the next stage. Yesterday I shot my sons rifle at 300 yards. The vertical grouping was 2.587, horizontal 1.97 ...

    .308 Velocity Increasing With Temp

I shot the other day when the temps were around 55-60 degrees. The average velocity from my load was 2699. I got a pretty good vertical spread and was happy with it. While researching projected velocities due to temperature, I found that on a 100 degree day, that velocity could climb up to over...
