Most people prefer the flexibility of the low-powered variable optic, but I actually prefer the simplicity of the ACOG. I started out with a couple of the better LPV optics, the Leupold VX-R Patrol 1.25-4 and the Trijicon TR24 green triangle, but I sold them both in favor of a TA33 green...
The varmint (heavy) barrel is not just "cool". It's functional. The choice of stock also determines for which type of shooting the rifle is best suited. Sent from my Nexus 7 using Tapatalk
I bought a 22LR Tacticool version and ordered a 17HMR fluted heavy barrel. I've added a Leupold VX-R 4-12Xx40mm with a Ballistic FireDot on CZ rings and I just ordered a Yo Dave trigger kit. I still haven't shot it, but I'm really excited to try it out soon. Sent from my Nexus 7 using Tapatalk
I have a Leupold VX-R 4-12Xx40mm with a Ballistic FireDot reticle on my CZ 455 17hmr Tacticool build, and I'm fixing to order a VX-2 3-9x33 with a LR duplex reticle for my 10/22. The VX-2 is highly touted as a rimfire scope, as it has an adjustable objective for parallax adjustment. Sent from...
I currently own a Vortex PST 2.5-10x32 FFP that I am very pleased with, but I am now looking to step up in magnification. I am considering both the 4-16x50 and the 6-24x50, but I am wondering how the quality of these models varies between the FFP and the SFP variants. I recall reading that the...
I have a PST 2.5-10x32 on my LMT MWS and it's great, but do you actually need that much top end magnification? The 300blk is a heavy round and drops quite a bit at distance, so it's best for relatively short distances. If you plan on keeping it inside 200m or so, you can save some weight and...
I like it. I am not using mine right now, as I've switched to ACOGs on my ARs, but it's still a nice scope. I might use it later on a 300BLK build I'm thinking of putting together, or I might sell it. I also have a Trijicon TR24 with a green triangle reticle that I'm not using, and I only...
I considered one but I chose the Beretta CX4 Storm in 9mm instead. I bought the version that accepts 30 round magazines, and it's rocking a vertical grip, Streamlight TLR-1s, Aimpoint Micro H-1, and a Sierra Papa guide rod/buffer upgrade. I just need the trigger upgrade and I'm done.
