    which calipers are worth it?

Re: which calipers are worth it? My $20. Midway digitals always measure the same as my $125. Mitutoyo's..... but if I didn't have the Mitu's first I would always be second guessing the elcheapo's. Funny how the mind works.

Neck Resizing Only vs Full Length Resizing?

Re: Neck Resizing Only vs Full Length Resizing? Keep it simple and just get a Redding Type-S full length bushing die that lets you resize the case and the neck while maintaining case alignment and concentricity. Your brass grows each time you shoot it so you may as well keep it from expanding...

    First 100 yard Group

Re: First 100 yard Group Windflags are a tremendous help in disciplines that allow them but you can consistently shoot small groups without them at 100 yards by paying close attention to "felt" wind on your body. Try to first determine the prevailing wind direction (on average) by feeling it...

    20 MOA base??

Re: 20 MOA base?? Just get a set of Burris Signature Zee rings with the inserts and you can dial in any moa you could ever need just by changing the inserts. Best part is they never leave a ring mark and a new record was just shot at 600 yards using them and they really hold POI. The 600 yard...

    Fun .22 target idea's?

Re: Fun .22 target idea's? Get a roll of old-fashioned Necco wafers (candy) and Elmers glue them to a white target and have at it. They are small enough to be a challenge but easy to see when you hit one. They come in asst. colors but I like to use a roll of the black/chocolate ones against a...

how to clean a precision rimfire 22 barrel ?

Re: how to clean a precision rimfire 22 barrel ? Using a patch of Kroil then a couple dry patches is a reigimen known to work wonders for many of the top shooters and it doesn't strip the barrel too harshly which only means having to fire a box or more of expensive ammo to re-foul the barrel...

    Fouling rounds?

Re: Fouling rounds? Some rifles do it and some don't and when forced to compete with a cold bore I know guys that can actually hold off correctly for the first shot since it usually throws them in the same place. Big Game/dangerous game hunters will go through barrels till they get one that...

    Imperial sizing wax

Re: Imperial sizing wax Just don't let too much accumulate in the die as it is pretty thick and if allowed to build up enough over time it can dent your brass from the hydraulic force so I run a Q-tip up in there after each reloading session to clean out any excess.

    Question about Imperial Sizing Wax

Re: Question about Imperial Sizing Wax Imperial is some sticky snotty slippery stuff and that makes it good for resizing lube if you need alot of seating force to reshape your brass in the die but if your die fits your cases pretty close you may be able to get by using Ballistol for a case...

    Older SK Jadg ammo questions

Re: Older SK Jadg ammo questions Rimfire rifles are finicky and buying even your favorite go-to ammo without trying a couple test lots is risky and even with mid-grade ammo over $7./box I don't venture far without a test run and usually try a fewdifferent test lots before buying a case before...

Re: FORSTER PRESS , SEATING QUESTION Guys that shoot benchrest at 100 and 200 yards where the bullet hole after 5 shots looks like one hole and measures sub .10" group don't mind runout up to .03 thou. A friend of mine said his runout was sub .001 but when asked where he measures from he...

Anyone ever get ripples in primers?

Re: Anyone ever get ripples in primers? You probably already have but make sure your priming tool isn't making the marks on the primer before you even shoot the rounds since if you use a bit too much seating force it can make that concentric ring mark too.

priming tool suggestions for a newB

Re: priming tool suggestions for a newB RCBS is a step above the Lee IMHO for not alot of extra cash. I think the new model even has an auto-adjusting feature and you don't need to buy shell holders which could save some $.
