Been busy with school but I ended up finding the answer by asking the ATF directly when an agent came to my school to recruit. Also, it seems there was a Police Officer who had the same question and wrote the ATF. The response given to him has been floating around for a short time and was also...
Well as far as the ATF in conserned, as long as the weapon meets certain specs then it is considered a rifle, shotgun, or pistol. I could shoot it upside down and i dont think they give a crap lol. I think my concern is with tne fact that this brace makes for a functional stock even if it...
Yea i looked over that a few hours ago. From what i gathered it seems that since the weapon is classified as a pistol in its present state then im obviously ok to own it. Additionally, i could not find a law requiring me to shoot the weapon in the intended manner. Therefore, i think i should be...
I just purchased a Sig516 with one of those arm brace deals attached. My question is, what legal issues will i have if i or my wife decided bot to strap it to our arm and just shoot the weapon like an AR. Would we be breaking the law as soon as our cheek touched the arm brace? Using it as...
wow. i was thinking of ordering a Mcrees chassis so that i could use a mag instead of single feeding. if i have to go through this much trouble to get it to work then ill just leave her the way she is. Glad i read this thread.
8 shots at 400 yards on a 8 inch plate. 5 shot group at 200 yards same group So far this is the best group i have shot. I'm shooting a stock AAC-SD action so i am happy with it.
well when developing a load it gets extremely old to re-zero your scope for every load your shooting that day. last time i went to the range i shot 4 different loads. it would have been a waste of time and waste of ammo to zero them and then shoot for groups. so instead you shoot for groups to...
do a build off of a stevens action. you can get a stevens 200 for really cheap and do a build with a millet 4-16x50 scope and still meet your budget. i built my wifes for 950 bucks but she is using a bushnell 10x40 scope since she only shoots out to 300 yards. plenty of info ou there on...
I do not have any experience with the 168 past 600 so that is good information to know. However if the 168 was fired out of a 30-06 or a 300 win then I'm sure it would have better performance than if fired from a 308. I have seen some pretty nice shots taken with 175s out of a 300 win mag and...
i would have to say it depends on the weapon system, the powder used, and even the shooting conditions at times. Im sure some have better luck with one over the other but thats not to say that the other can't be made to shoot well if you developed a load for it. if your going to make up a load...
What are you considering long range? 168s will get you out to 600 all day. I have shot them pretty often when i cant find the 175s. 175s shoot a bit better out of mine though. At 400 i do not notice much of a difference between the two unless its a windy day.
