    Cutting Edge CuRx loading tray

Correct, my statement was not intented as an absolute but if you go with the 1:6 recommended by CE for the 50gr option, then shooting normal stuff (Lapua, Eley) could become a little different. I have no experience with the 1:6 twist, this is only hear say from reputable sources that know. I...

    Cutting Edge CuRx loading tray

The 32gr projectiles are working well in my vudoo 1:16 twist. I can also still use common rimfire options. Faster twist is apparently necessary for the heavier options. My understanding from talking to the guys at Vudoo is that the faster twist sort of works you into the CE corner and makes...

    Cutting Edge CuRx loading tray

I have the Bartlein barrel on the Vudoo. So far the CE system is far more consistent than the standard high end rimfire ammo that I have been using. Burns cleaner also so I can use a different suppressor.

    Cutting Edge CuRx loading tray

For those loading the Cutting Edge CuRx rimfire ammo. None of my standard reloading tray held the small cases safely and I've seen some comments that the CE tray isn't much better, so I've designed a tray that actually holds the cases securely and makes it easier to load the small cases. I've...

    Suppressors Barrel length and suppressors

Yeah, what Zach said...There are basically two sound meters that meet the req's for suppressor sound measurement until you step up to piezo pressure transducers and a fancy data acquisition system. And the android or iphone do not meet these req's to say the least. I heard one person state that...

Suppressors Thermal Defense Solutions 3D printed suppressors

I have one of their (not TDS brand but the manufacturer's brand) Strix cans on hand awaiting transfer to a customer, I can say that it is light even though it is made out of Inconel. They have some surface roughness that I needed to smooth out because it scratched the inside my specific...

Can you SBR a stripped lower

Oops, I confused some laws in my manufacturing world. I was told by an agent that they don't like going shorter than the Form 1. Sorry about that. There is no real magic in building a SBR, just go for it.

Can you SBR a stripped lower

Yes, there are stipulations and they are on the ATF website. Now reality from a Manufacturing FFL with SOT (means I can build and sell NFA items and have occasional discussions with the NFA branch). You can engrave any firearm with your trust information at any time and that doesn't make it an...

Can you SBR a stripped lower

Engraving a stripped lower is nothing magical, since it isn't an NFA item yet you can have it done anywhere that can and will do it for you (better if they have a FFL). Once you have the Form 1 and have assembled it into a SBR then your options are limited to people like myself that have SOTs...

Suppressors New stock and huge suppressed POI shift

I have had this occur when the suppressor backs off slightly. The shift is not enough to have the bullet damage a baffle but is enough that the baffle nudges the bullet, more of a glancing blow. Check for any trash or carbon buildup on the muzzle brake and inside of the suppressor where it...

    Show me your pelican!!!

Random pics of various cases that I have or have done for other customers. We don't use the crap foam either. Factory foam gets tossed and we replace with either waterjet cut or router cut cross-linked PE which is more expensive but is not abrasive and tougher. Yes this is in a...

Rifle Scopes Long Range Optic Opinions

What cartridge were you using? The 300WM is hard on delicate optics but I would think the NF could handle it. I have a Vortex Razor gen II that I could use, but it will be going on my 6mm when the new stock gets in. And yes the 6mm will shoot to 1250yds so why am I building a 300WM? not really...

    Sidearms & Scatterguns Ruger LCP

Victory is right on the money for this one. The smaller pistols are often more difficult for the untrained hands to control. I have one of the LCPs, take it to the range for TRAINING because you need to know how it behaves or you will not be ready to use it. I don't take it to the range to have...

Rifle Scopes Long Range Optic Opinions

I'm accumulating parts for a long range 300WM build. I'll be shooting at 1000 and 1250yds with it and I'm looking for a good optic like the NF Competition. I won't be using it for hunting or any other abusive conditions, so it doesn't have to be built like a tank. Any other suggestions on high...
