    I have a question regarding scoping a .308 carbine...

    I have the Vortex Spitfire on my 5.56 AR and am very pleased with it out to 300 years or so, but that said, it is specifically designed for the 5.56 platform, so I assume it will not play very well with your .308 rifle. Go going a more traditional route like a LPVO will probably suit your needs...
