Re: whats wrong horizontal stringing
Sperm shooter, thanks for taking the bipod off your rifle COULD HAVE USED IT YESTERDAY. I have the bullets seated as far as the magazine will take them, I'm going to seat a little deeper. Most of the groups were with max loads but there was NO pressure...
I have 24 inch kreiger barrell on a remington 700 action that has been trued. It is on a bell and carlson medalist stock that has been bedded and i just put a new shilen trigger in it that is set at 2 lbs. I have loaded several different loads, and have found that they all seem to shoot the...
Re: Swift Scirocco II - 7mm Bullets
Ive got 2 7-08s and after trying alot of different bullets I have found that the 120's at over 3000 fps were better than anything else for whitetails. The 150 scirocos did not expand well at the velocity I was able to get them to, but they did shoot less...
Re: Honest Opinion: Berger and Barnes bullet
I have shot both, but the bergers were the targets VLD's because they did not have the hunting VLD's out yet. The berger was a 168 grain out of a 300 win mag at around 3200. I shot three deer, one doe at 200 yards in the chest DRT, one buck at 250...
Re: Department switched sidearms

Re: Sheep/mountain rifle - caliber and stock?
Good Choice on the 7-08, some 120 tipped tripple shocks at about 3150, should do the job in whatever barrel and stock you put it in
Re: .22 LR stopping power
If you can get the CCI Velocitor's to shoot accurately it will give you a couple more hundred feet per second and should hold up better out to 200 hundred yards
Re: 300Rum.....Africa
I imagine you could kill anything in Africa with the 300 ultra mag and a 200 grain TSX, Its not the best for elephant and buffalo but for what you stated it should do just fine. I know a guy that killed a cape buffalo with a Rem 7 mag with 150 grain partitions, was that...

Re: ? on dept issue ny style trigger in glock
My dept. issues the 22 and the 35. The 35's have the 3 1/2 lb trigger. I have shot the NY trigger and I can see the point but Im happy that my dept. doesnt see the reasoning behind them. If Departments would train to put that finger on the frame...
