It gets threaded w/ the action still attached... i dont know why you would have to remove the action for anything but blueprinting or putting a new barrel on. it is a gunsmith job though because the threads have to be concentric to the bore and will need to be done on a nice lathe w/ the capabilities of threading.

Thanks,

On Rugers you can just remove the bbl from the action, ( V-block Set-up ) and just send the bbl only to your local / out of state gunsmith for bbl threading.

I really like that... but I might be a little biased

Same can, RT base, etc. I haven't bedded the action, std. feet on the BRM, and used a Rifle Basix trigger.

JACQ,
Did you float the barrel? I'd read where some folk did but the Varmint has a screw attached to it.

Re: my new 452 Trainer (pics)

No the barrel is floated forward of the front action scew... i think i might tap the rear of the reciever in the future to add a rear takedown screw and float the barrel the full length, although that will require me to rebed the action.... we will see how she shoots first, i dont think making the gun any more accurate will help much because its a trainer and typically i am running back and forth between distances more than i am shooting for groups.....

nice looking rifle you have though.

Hello people im Elian, a young student from Argentina.

Very nice setup you've got there. What an amazing coincidence! Im just waiting a CZ 452 Varmint to make my first trainer. I already got the scope (Leapers 4-16x50 mildot with target turrets) the bipod (Shooter's ridge Rock Mount 6-9" bipod) and a sling.
I've haven't bought any scope rings, im not sure which acquire. In my country i cannot get those bases

I consider this rifle one of accurate of the .22LR rifles i can get here in Argentina.

What i have my doubts is respectig the eye relief using 50 mm objective scopes. The cheek of the stock seems to be designed to be used with low profile scope rings, like a 32 mm objective scope. I don't want to mount a cheek piece to raise my face to get a propper eye relief.
Do you undertand me ?

How's de procedure to bed this rifle?
