    Imported carbon fiber tripod (RT90C)

I'm 6' 2" and find the height works well. If I stand up straight I'm just looking over the binos when glassing. I like to stand a little wider anyway. At 6' 5" you might find it too low.

    Imported carbon fiber tripod (RT90C)

I initially bought the RT90C to use as a spotting platform for precision matches. After going through some different ball heads I settled on the Sunwayfoto IB-30. I've gone on to use it to great success for varmint hunting, shooting squirrels standing off the tripod from point blank to 200 yards...

16" and 21" Apogee Match Barrels targets (AR22 platform no targets omitted)

Check out some of the NRL22 COF. It's a sort of "Postal match" where everyone shoots the same core stages and then MDs add a few extra one-off stages. They can build the stages all within 100 yards, or use option 2 out to 200 yards. The outlaw match I shot last year had a target out to...

16" and 21" Apogee Match Barrels targets (AR22 platform no targets omitted)

I shot an NRL22 match with an AR22 with an 18" CMMG upper. It would hold right around or under 1" at 50 yards. Shooting the match felt like the PRS style gas gun matches I've shot, very fun. But I finished last. That AR just doesn't have the accuracy to hang with the bolt guns. I saw this...

    Cheap,fast,clean,safe & perfect Annealing

If you were going to use a "better timer" what would it be or what features are you looking for? I've been doing a lot of research into annealing options and this seems like a good one.

    New Game LR Varmint

Very cool. Those look like some really fun targets. Local range here used to do a "Mini-Palma" match. It was on an NRA Highpower range with pits, scored on 5v paper targets at 150, 175, and 200 yards. I miss that match.

22GT vs 22BRA vs 22 Dasher and non lead bullets

@Kiba - Excellent. Sounds like you have quite the stable of rifles to pull from and very specific goals for this one. Let us know how it works when you get a chance to shoot it. I don't like the Varmint Grenades either. They were one of the first lead free bullets I found and they did ok, but...

22GT vs 22BRA vs 22 Dasher and non lead bullets

I know this is an older post, but I'm curious what you went with and what distances you're shooting at. Also, why the heavier bullets? I also shoot ground squirrels in CA. The area I hunt has some spaces where I could shoot fairly far, but mostly I keep it to 200 yards and in, or stalk closer...

New build: parts compatibility check please

Nice choice on the 16" Criterion Rifle gas. I have a complete CMMG 308 with a rifle gas 16" barrel. It shoots amazingly soft as it comes from them, even without an adjustable gas block. I'm sure the Surefire brake has something to do with that as well. The biggest problems I've experienced with...

SPINTA PRECISION .223 WYLDE DISSIPATOR BARREL

Totally. Thanks. Most of my ARs have been for 3gun with light BCG and AGBs. I just remember reading reviews of Voodoo 16" rifle gas back in the day that wouldn't even run 55gr stuff with a standard gas block and needed 69gr to run, a longer dwell time was stated as the reason. Contrast that with...

SPINTA PRECISION .223 WYLDE DISSIPATOR BARREL

@TonyTheTiger Did your friend or you go with an adjustable gas block on them? Or is it just fine as is? @Merle Who did you have fit/pin it for the FSB? That looks interesting.

Rifles you have, but don't like.

Savage A17 - It was supposed to be the key to ultimate ground squirrel killing... but was a 1.5moa gun with a trigger I didn't care for... in the safe it sits.

    88 Inch barrel

I had to check my calendar when I saw this, thought for sure it had to be April 1st.

    69 gain SMK

I got 2715 fps from 69gr Fed GMM at sea level from an 18" Nordic barrel (rifle gas). So I would guess closer to 2650-2675 from a 16". I would highly suggest finding a friend or range that would rent a chrono.
