Just an option to consider...American Defense makes a variation of their Recon mounts in a SL (Super Low) configuration. I know, split rings are problematic, but on a LPVO it should be fine if you mount it carefully.
Do you know what mounting height you’re trying to achieve? As you suggested...
Look for gouges and scratches on the brass. They would be linear and run the length of the shell. My guess is your barrel extension lugs are scratching it up. I would try and cycle a few rounds through without firing, just run the charging handle a few times and let them kick out. Look at your...
How new is the gun, and what does your brass look like after firing? Could be your barrel extension grinding it up if it’s got some rough edges.
What is you intended use for the subs? The purpose will refine your recommendations.
I’d take a hard look at the Trijicon Credo 2-10x36. There is an extensive review of it here in the optics section. There’s no paralax adjustment, but on a 2-10 medium range optic this isn’t critical.
I would PM or call Scott directly and see what he can do for you. He’ll be happy to help you out. He’s got a sale posted on the PX, but you might have to search for it.
As cheap as springs are, I would experiment with those to see if you can’t find something the gun likes. Adding that much weight on the end of a barrel really Does upset the cycling of the system. I have an Obsidian on a CZ P10C. In the full length configuration it won’t cycle any type of...

Purchased 8/3/18 from SilencerShop
Check Cashed 9/17/18
Approved 8/21/19
Suppressor in hand 8/27/19
I knew it would take a while, but damn that wait sucked. My only complaint is it seemed like it took several weeks for SS to even submit the paperwork. In the...
I mentioned this in another thread somewhere, but the Rugged Obsidian is now raged for 45-70 @ 16”. Wouldn’t be my first choice for a dedicated rifle can though...
Yes, BUT I havent bought it yet...things get in the way sometimes...
Going with a Sig 226 and will gradually upgrade my other pistols with threaded barrels as I can.
First - This will not be a duty gun. Personal use only.
A lot of love for the HK's and the FN45, although Im leaning heavily towards the 226. It seems the consensus is that the larger pistols tend to be a favorite as a host. In general, could it then be said that the smaller (say G19 and...
So I have a rugged obsidian in NFA jail now, and I’ve got the next 6-8 months to figure out a good host for it. Im looking for a little guidance on some firearms you have used that paired well with a suppressor. How did the suppressor affect the reliability, handling, and accuracy of the...
For someone that has hand and wrist problems, a hand-held shotgun is probably not the best idea...
If it has to be a shotgun, she should really get something with a stock, so her whole body can absorb and distribute the recoil, not just the wrist...
