Rifle Scopes Alpha Class High Magnification 6-36/7-35 FFP Scope Review

I don't think conceptualizing it as "glass" is helpful to understanding the difference. For instance people seem to say that ZCO has more contrast and "pops" more compared to TT's more neutral image. I don't think that necessarily arises from just ordering a different grade of glass off of a list.

Rifle Scopes Alpha Class High Magnification 6-36/7-35 FFP Scope Review

I don't think that's how any of this works.

Rifle Scopes Deciding on deer rifle optic

I had a Vortex LHT 4.5-22, sold it, and have recently bought a Maven RS1.2 as my light(er)weight hunting scope. I've been very impressed with the Maven. I'll be using an ATACR 7-35 on my coues hunt this fall just because they're so freaking hard to see but for all other hunting I'll use the...

    NICS delay

Well in my state, where I sell guns for a living, it does exempt the person from whatever background check is normally done. The person fills out the 4473 but the concealed carry permit exempts them from us submitting it. I shouldn't have generalized it since I don't know his state's laws but a...

    Lone peak actions.

Based on a similar post on Rokslide (OP has the same alias), the builder was Ryan Pierce. I'm unsure if he knew when he said this stuff to OP that OP would spam post it across a bunch of forums.

    Lone peak actions.

I'm a bit confused. Is he primarily a benchrest rifle builder? The crooked, faulty ignition, piece of garbage Lone Peaks seem fine for the precision rifle guys but maybe he's used to the finer things in life with benchrest actions. Then again I don't think benchrest actions are commonly used for...

    NICS delay

Concealed carry should let you skip the background check. Otherwise you could look into a UPIN.

    Rifle Scopes Swarovski Z5i+ information

Unless I'm misreading the droptest thread, the scope tested (thread posted this Tuesday) was a Z5i+ 3.5-18x50. Given his style of training that doesn't seem likely. Eagleman's classes are done 100% from a bench in a nice building. There's no movement or chance for students to screw up the...

    Rifle Scopes Swarovski Z5i+ information

Given the pricepoint of a Z5i I would (and did) go with a Maven RS1.2 2.5-15x44 for hunting purposes. Its pros (durability/reticle/eyebox) outweighed the cons (illumination bleed / non-locking elevation). If I hadn't gone with the Maven I'd have been heavily considering a Trijicon Tenmile...

    Mark 4hd tracking issue

The droptesting isn't perfect but it's also not nothing. Though the main gripe against Leupold is zero retention, not tracking. But why wouldn't you see the level of Leupold use if the droptesting is accurate? Most hunters shoot a few rounds a year (badly) and wouldn't notice a zero shift even...

Cheap scopes Leupold mk4hd vs Nightforce SHV?

For a hunting rifle I'd lean more towards reliability, so NF if I was given those two options. Another option to heavily consider would be Maven RS1.2 2.5-15x44 as well. It would probably beat out both those other options handily.

Rifle Scopes Alpha Class High Magnification 6-36/7-35 FFP Scope Review

If I'm not going to be using over 15 magnification while hunting using a 7-35x56 ATACR, is it even worth it for me to use a sun shade? With most scopes I just keep the shade on there but on a hunt where I'm worried about the scope maybe getting bumped a decent bit I'm wondering if it's...

Gunsmithing Triggertech Diamond 2 Stage issue

I'm about 95% sure the little screw is just stripped. Just unsure how to handle that on a screw that tiny.

Gunsmithing Triggertech Diamond 2 Stage issue

Closed on weekends but sent an email. Any idea if they charge a lot for repairs to BnA triggers not bought through them?

Gunsmithing Triggertech Diamond 2 Stage issue

Any idea who handles warranty work for BnA? The second stage on my Pro-X no longer wants to adjust and I suspect the screw may be stripped. Unsure who handles that stuff in the US.
