175 SMK better at 200 yards than 100?

If your getting tighter groups at longer distance your either: 1) using to small a sample. 2) using to small a sample with sloppy reloading practices. 3) not ignoring a random walk-outlier Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Rifle Scopes Eye fatigue while behind scope

Lots of good advise here. I shoot 2-3x a week, but rarely shoot using an optic. Rarely as in maybe once every month or so-few dozen shots over maybe an hour. Never for an extended time. I took a class and after 5+ hours it got the best of me. I could see things going bad with eyes and...

    School me on gun safes

I have 3 safes. 2 I bought used, had them blasted and powder coated, new S&G dials they are TRTL30x6. Other is a Graffunder. It was a demo model and the exact size I needed for the location and priced very right. All of the above safes are steel plate on all sides, not just the door. They are...

M14 craving - wanting to build the ultimate sub-moa M14.

BCP-I am on M14forum as well under the same screen name. I am going to try for the challenge, but have not been to the range in a couple weeks without 40mph gusts-not even going to attempt that in messy winds. I have another rifle-springfield loaded, 1989 rifle, with a TRW barrel on it. The...

M14 craving - wanting to build the ultimate sub-moa M14.

I have a sub moa 14, barreled action was done by Ted brown, was bedded and toyed with by art luppino. It's not sub moa with just any ammo-I have to hand load for it and I have yet to find a consistent higher velocity loaf that shoots as well as the good load. The rifle seems to like 2550 fps...

Ok I have a poll question M1A or AR10 SASS

I prefer the m14, I would never recommend it to someone who is an infrequent shooter or whom does not have the time/patience to learn their rifle. I see M14 types at the range I go to weekly, they are generally shot with boxed ammo with mediocre results. Owner buys rifle, shoots 30 to 50 rounds...

Ok I have a poll question M1A or AR10 SASS

I think the obvious choices are going to be either the Mini-30 or a few SKS. Cheaper, both 30 cal. Either will outshoot an AR 10 anyday. You can even afford a few on Cartman's salary.

    Chamber Brush - .308

I have one made by Art Luppino, works for 06 or 308. It is more of a 'wipe' than a brush. Here is a thread on one made by GG&G. GG&G M-14 Chamber Cleaning Tool. - M14 Forum

    7.62 LC Brass question

We just discussed this on another site-m14forum-there are volume differences between the stuff from the 80s to the current stuff. For plinking, no problems, but if your loading anywhere near max I would sort by headstamp & weigh then workup.
