    6.5 Creedmoor

26" barrel. Range day data: got 2818 with Berg 140s and 41.0 of RL-16 - I didn't have a good rear rest and still got < 1 MOA Did a ladder load on 153s with Staball and brass looks good. No speeds on those yet Now that all my brass is 1x fired I will load some more nodes and report back the good...

Seeking load data with Staball 6.5 and 153.5 Bergers in Starline brass. If you were to workup a ladder load in .5gn increments for 6.5CM what would your window be? Start at 38.0gn and go up to ??? I just did this with a new barrel using: H4350 and Berger 140s and got heavy bolt lift around 41.5...

Listen to these guys. Keep it zeroed at 100. When I shoot anything other than local benchrest matches I ensure they are zeroed at 100 and if any questions I bore sight it.

I have some RL16 41.0gn loaded to test/fire form. May stay cheap and try the sta-ball that I already have.

Dang! I have some more brass to fire form to this new barrel but I am now out of H4350. I may use up another powder. what sayest the most accomplished of basement dwellers? I have some reloader 16(opened), reloader 17, Winchester Sta-ball 6.5 I will most likely use R16 up first.

    Best ballistic calculator currently?

I have been using this free online one. It has table drop options. I use it for my base/initial scope dope. https://www.jbmballistics.com/cgi-bin/jbmtraj-5.1.cgi

How do you note your rifles current zero setting when storing a rifle?

hello, I was shooting with my good SWFA scope (that was zeroed @600 yds as the label says) but I was getting enough elevation so I tried another scope I had laying around. but now I'm having problems with clearance. Any suggestions! Thanks!

I'm going to try some 153.5s in a 1/8 twist barrel.

    Entry level gun and scope

Good advice here. I do concur. 300PRC is fun but a bit much for 1000yd shooting. 65CM or similar is much better suited for fun 1000yd range days.

New 26" Preferred Barrel (1/8 twist) on Ruger American Action Looking to run 140/144/153 Bergers with H4350 I have some 140s in hand for barrel break in. Previously I was running 143 ELDxs fairly slow so I don't need a smoking hot load (at least for now). Starline and Lapua brass. How do the...

How do you note your rifles current zero setting when storing a rifle?

Yes but by that logic... If I plan to shoot it only at 600 and I "zero" it to 600 - as most people would "zero" it to 100 Is it not "zeroed" at 600 just like I originally said? If I NEVER touch the elevation dial and just hold elevation that I know is true, wouldn't I be "zeroed @600" instead...
