    hello, I was shooting with my good SWFA scope (that was zeroed @600 yds as the label says) but I was getting enough elevation so I tried another scope I had laying around. but now I'm having problems with clearance. Any suggestions! Thanks!

    Good advice here. I do concur. 300PRC is fun but a bit much for 1000yd shooting. 65CM or similar is much better suited for fun 1000yd range days.

    Yes but by that logic... If I plan to shoot it only at 600 and I "zero" it to 600 - as most people would "zero" it to 100 Is it not "zeroed" at 600 just like I originally said? If I NEVER touch the elevation dial and just hold elevation that I know is true, wouldn't I be "zeroed @600" instead...

    I see where I went wrong in terminology - I used 'zeroing rifle for yardage' vs 'zeroing scope for yardage'...You guys are relentless smart access and I dig it, keeps me sharp(er). This rifle will primarily be a benchrest 600yd shooter with occasional stretches to 1000.

    Went to the range last week, Got typical hits from 600-1000. Had to shoot up all my 6.5 ammo before spinning on a new barrel. having the data on the phone helped. I'm working on getting a more minimal setup where I can skip the keyboard/mouse/display. Happy Easter - More to come.

    So a friend recently went to the Armorer's class and build his M1 - He said that some of the criterion barrels were difficult to time without tight torque(but still within tolerance). Faxxon stepped in and started making barrels for them. I thought that was interesting.

    Great data and reading... My microcontroller adventure continues, to wait for more parts - proper voltage power supply. "that directors really just make the whole stage a clusterfuck." - this made me laugh and why I will never be a stage director.
