    The comparisons you did stop basically where true ELR starts. The closest light gun target at Spear Point starts around 1700 yards out to 2913 yards.

    I ran entire 1:8 barrel with ATips so you should be good there. Only problem you are going to have is if it is throated for solids. To answer your original question a solid is much for difficult to spot at distance and almost impossible to see where you hit on a plate starting about 2000 yards.

    If you are able I would exchange the Spuhr mount for something with more cant to get the most out of your scope.

    It was still testing and last person I saw shoot it in a match still had the typical 416 Barrett problems.

    They haven't even been available for five years lol. There is nothing wrong with CEB and they worked well for us also. There is major benefits to A-Tips though which is why we shoot them and many are now seeing making the switch.

    What do you mean by the A-Tips fall short of CEB? Do you mean leading the biggest ELR series by a large amount? I get messages after every match where guys watch A-tips perform looking to switch.
