    Light tactical rifle concept

    This is my primary hunting/light setup the only change made from this pic is it now wears an tbac ultra 5 can that is a bit lighter. The barrel is a #6 Broughton cut to 21” and the entire setup comes in at 15lbs even with a fairly heavy optic.

    One of my 223ai is 21 the other is 26. The 21 with a can is handy while 26 with a can is a bit rough in tight spaces.

    I currently have 223 with Impact and a Surgeon action. I have had a TL3 as well. I would choose the Impact of the 3 personally.

    Rifle Scopes Best hunting scope around 3k

    I have hunted with both a 7-35 and a 5-25 pmii but my primary hunting setup has a 3-15 Premier on it. Between the NF and S&B both are great just a smidge large depending on your hunting style here in the Texas plains they are fine imo. In heavy brush the 3-15 is better imo but your mileage may vary.

    I have ran a ton of the 6mm Creed which is ADG which has been as fantastic as Lapua but I bought it at half the price. It is now within a couple dollars so I would opt for the blue box imo.

    223/for distance

    223 or 223ai in my case with an 75 or 80 are mainstays in my safe. They are such a pleasure to run and will enlighten plenty of folks or in some cases deflate egos because you aren't running x y or z "superior" caliber.

    I have a surgeon that has been dlc coated, at least the bolts have been. It’s on numerous barrels on both the standard bolt face and the 223 bolt.

    223 AI or No

    I have 2 separate 223ai. I typically don’t run them too hard with 80gr vld at 2900 but it is safe in all conditions and shoots lights out.
