Gunsmithing PTG? Anyone know what's going on there?

I hope you are right, I'm going to try and get a hold of David Kiff on Friday afternoon. There is a three or four time difference from Oregon to where I am in Canada, so it will have to wait till tommorow. Good luck with your build. When I get this all sorted out I want to post some...

It's good to hear that they know how to give good customer service. Perhaps I just have to wait, and be very patient.

Well, I can't explain the customer service I have received. Maybe they watch these forums, and the issue will be resolved.

Gunsmithing PTG? Anyone know what's going on there?

It's a nightmare to try get gun parts from the US shipped to Canada. Even more of a nightmare to try and return them from Canada to the US. The parts are installed and they work now after we modified them. I am not happy because they said they were going to compensate me for the defective...

Gunsmithing PTG? Anyone know what's going on there?

Ptg problems I don't know why they would base their brand new bottom metal on a old design. The long action spacing has remained constant for years, the accutrigger has been on their rifles since 2003. PTG got every detail from me on the make of the rifle, the model, the action...

Gunsmithing PTG? Anyone know what's going on there?

I think when I wait 40 days for a e-mail, or compensation, after they agreed to it I have reason to be upset. I was pretty upbeat and positive about the matter up to about 25 days. I just blamed the delay on shipping issues or a lost e-mail. If the bottom metal was supposed to be altered to...

Gunsmithing PTG? Anyone know what's going on there?

To the best of my knowledge Savage long action action size spacing has never changed. They have had the accutrigger since 2003, certainly predating PTG's bottom metal. With the exception of Savage Axis, and Stevens all Savages have the Accutrigger. The part should have fit. Here is what I...

Gunsmithing PTG? Anyone know what's going on there?

I hope they are monitoring the Hide, maybe they do what the promised over 40 days ago. Here is a little backstory. I ordered a Bottom metal for a savage long action back in 2013. After many phone calls got the parts and magazines in May 2014. Product looked great till we tried to install it...

Anyone have any load data for IMR 4064 338 win mag 300gr bullet weight

Thanks for the advice. I have some hornady 225 gr, and some barnes ttsx 225 gr and some load data from hodgon site for imr 4064. I think I will start from there. The factory shells I have are 225 gr and they seem to shoot pretty good for factory ammo.

Anyone have any load data for IMR 4064 338 win mag 300gr bullet weight

Thanks for the info. I am going to start loading the 225 gr, because I have them already. I'll try loading 300's if I can find them up here in Canada.

Anyone have any load data for IMR 4064 338 win mag 300gr bullet weight

I have a Savage Alaskan brush hunter with a 18 inch barrel, I recently put a PTG Aics style bottom metal on it. I am going to work up a load for it with 225 gr Barnes TTSX bullets. I have a abundance of imr 4064 powder which I use with great success with my 308 win. I have found data to...

    PTG bottom metal for Savage

Just got my stealth bottom metal and two 300 win mag AI mags from them yesterday. The bottom metal looks great, and the magazines fit in perfectly. Just have to inlet the stock and make it work. I ordered it back in December 2013, worth the wait I think, it was half the money of CDI bottom...

    PTG bottom metal for Savage

I ordered a Stealth LA savage bottom metal from them back in December. The last I heard from them on March 4 it should be shipped out before April. They are pretty much the only company shipping to Canada right now, so I gotta hope they will get them made and shipped soon. I like the design...

Anyone had any experience with Accuracy International 10 round 223 rem magazine

Considering a Savage short action build based on a 223 rem action using a AI style bottom metal, and was hoping someone had some experience with AI's 10 round polymer magazine, or Accurate Mags 10 round steel 223 rem magazine. I was going a AI style dbm to avoid plastic on magazines, but AI...
